Re: Will win9X compatibility be fixed in version 1.8

But couldn't that newer library file system simply be replaced with the older version?(not built into the game though) Like to make it downloadable with instructions for installing said older library file system into the game? I didn't say a newer library, I said another library. The way Wesnoth &q...

Re: Will win9X compatibility be fixed in version 1.8

Well would some work please be put to making wesnoth compatible with win9x again? If it were alot of work, then I would understand why you wouldn't. But the only issue is the font issue. It _is_ a lot of work to fix, the problem is that we're switching to another "font" library which has ...

Re: wesnoth 1.7.7 crash in the multiplayer menu

Thanks. Just tryied with svn version, the problem is still present (I have the same message in the terminal) but the game doesn't crash anymore. I haven't been able to reproduce the messages, but a code review revealed the cause of the crash so I could fix that. Could you try to give more info abou...

Re: wesnoth 1.7.7 crash in the multiplayer menu

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem, but I already added a fix for the crash.

Also next time please report the bug a bugs.wesnoth.org, where it's more likely to be found.

Re: Split from "Luck in Wesnoth: Irrationale"

Anyhow, I'm not sure what's wrong with the people doing the work getting their way instead of some random guy that suggests a change. Isn't that disingenuous? How many "random guys" have you heard ranting about the luck in Wesnoth, for how many years? It's more like an unserved constituen...

Re: Linux "Add/Remove" style addon browser (mockup included)

That mockup looks really good. The only thing that bothers me about it is something that also bothers me about the current add-on dialogue: the options are "ok" and "cancel". Right now, in 1.7.2, it works like this: you choose an add-on, press ok, add-on installs; choose add-on ...

Re: Linux "Add/Remove" style addon browser (mockup included)

There's already a plan to improve the addon interface [1]. I've been working
on this, while rewriting the GUI engine as well. It will take a while before it
will be ready. (No estimates.)

Re: Improvements to WMLtheme?

Plans yes, when will it be done? Unknown.

I'm working (for quite a while) on a new widget system which allows more
tuning via WML. It's intended that this also replaces the ThemeWML at
some point. Since it's a lot of work I've no idea when the ThemeWML
replacement takes place.

Can you specify which assertion error you exactly get, also the last part (say 10 KB)
of the of your stderr might be interesting to us.

Re: Bug? report for trunk

Okay it's been a couple of months... but I'm really curious. Why are warnings allowed into the Wesnoth source code? In uni we're taught to try to eliminate as many warnings as possible, yet that doesn't seem to be what you guys are doing with Wesnoth. Actually we care a lot. We added -Werror to fin...

Re: In-game message dialogs

To be honest I never had a problem with the spacing, but here
are some samples with different spacings, spacing 0 is the
current value. I think spacing_1 or spacing_2 should be enough,
I can also post a larger text to show how it looks for larger texts.

Re: Scroll bar for unit information display

This is a known issue and I want to work on it in the future.
It will be a part of my gui overhaul project, but no idea when
I start with this part of the overhaul.

Re: no 800 * 600! who can help

Please tell me where the game crashes and whether or
not you get an error message. I also assume you play
with the German translation (which can matter since dialogs
in the German translation often need more space as the
English dialogs).
