[This a reaction to this message ] Great thanks to Doc Paterson for setting up and making the follow up for this tournament. It is a excellent opportunity for beginners like me to have access of line to valuable resources like replays from the best players. It also provide chances to these best play...

Thanks, nice to see a patch for the AI village settings. I was only wondering in the original thread you modified more settings in an AI.cfg, would it be an option to add this AI.cfg as well and use that. That AI.cfg patch was not written by me but by tsr. Unfortunately no one give any feedback to ...

Patch fixing AI-recruit-too-many-scout in multiplayer

In this message, I think it would be reasonable to raise the default to 6-8. Of course, none of the current mainline MP maps/scenarios specify any AI settings, which they could very well do. This might be the easiest way to considerably raise the "skill" of the AI. I agree wholeheartedly. ...

Re: Would be cool to contribute

:) I will check out the translation thing. Would be cool to contribute. Indeed, it would be awesome. Keep us aware. Unfortunately I also have to report a bug. When I was loading a review, at some point during the replay, there is the message "File is corrupt." I can click on "ok"...

language switches from English to German

Hi there, This "a new order" campaign is great. I am currently playing it and I am having lots of fun until now. I am sure the author is happy you like it. Only some minor things, (but perhaps I am playing an older version?), the language switches from English to German in the dialogues a...

troubles should arrive when 1.3.1 is out

I just downloaded the source and compiled it under Kubuntu. Will I be able to continue a saved game from the HttT campaign? I have a save from 1.1.13 and don't want to start over, when I load the campaign it says it's a different version, but proceeds. I just want to know if there will be problems ...

could you please provide your script, or at least run it the same way on all campaign units (under data/campaigns/<camp name>/units) I can do both. The patch is updated with a new diff file for campaign units. I put the script (python) in attachment here. If anyone feels like using it, it has been ...

Using ifs to do the sound variations for mainline units

In this message, For example for a sword attack, something like this : [animation] hits=yes [frame] begin=-100 end=200 sound={SOUND_LIST:SWORD_SWISH} [/frame] [/animation] [animation] hits=no [frame] begin=-100 end=200 sound={SOUND_LIST:MISS} [/frame] [/animation] Also, I'd recommend using [if] 's t...

I noticed a bug in the last scenario. Every time a zombie landed a killing blow, the game would crash. I filed a bug for something similar. It is described here . I figure this was because the game was unable to reconcile the zombie creation from a zombie kill even with the zombie creation from the...

There are a few graphical bugs I will fix in the next day or two. I thought it was included in this remark but it is not fixed yet so I will report it now: all level 1 units that come from a level 0 one should specify in their .cfg file: ellipse="misc/ellipse" Otherwise one tends to think...

You need a cfg file too on data/scenarios/multiplayer. Otherwise, if you do not care about any WML, you can put the map only on your directory for UMC. On my computer, it is ~/.wesnoth/editor/maps (adapt for windows) PS: usually, when reporting a problem, info on OS, BFW version etc... are very useful
