Just wanted to try one more, using bump mapping and a different pre-bump technique, this is supposed to be an evergreen or something due to the shape. I think this one came out better than the last, but it is smaller.

Hmmm....here's another try. I discovered the interesting "Bump Map" feature of GIMP, and here's a result:

Damn, trees are hard to draw from a completely top-down perspective. Here's a palm tree, I found it slightly easier than normal ones...but I have the feeling something's wrong about it. Can't pinpoint what...or how to fix it... :?
Any c&c on this one?

Yes, the sprites are supposed to be small. There are many, but small, levels, and each level is shown all at once.

Sprite-wise, I like best the saurian with the skull on its head.

(I think I know where you got that from...)

Sprites - Damn, trees are hard

I drew some sprites for a game I'm making - the perspective is top-down, it's a shooter, and these are for the Office setting. I was wondering if any of the artists here could tell me what I need to improve on them, or give any other c&c.
Thanks for your time! :D

And archers need at least some muscle. Ever tried drawing a longbow and firing it? They can take a good amount of strength to pull and fire well.

It may be worth pointing out that a longbowman does not really wear pink, that's TC. Try changing it to red, or royal purple.
Starting to look good though.

You may need to shade the mace.

Err. Remove the chicken, and you've got a nice Celtic spearman. I can even see a bit of woad paint, good job. But...I'm pretty sure the Celts weren't that big on dead-chicken-as-weapon attacks, on the whole. I mean, sure, you've got a reputation for savagery and everything, but...

ghosts against drakes..... i dont think so I do think so, though. they make good units for finishing off a drake with few HP left; the added advantage is they get a drain-heal from this. Also, they require a Burner to dispatch effectively, meaning that your enemy's diverted a Burner which could be ...

How about it costs gold to make a building, but builders survive? The cost limits amounts of buildings, after all. Also, then you could get rid of recruitment like you were saying without making gold worthless. (And I have fewer names for good gods than evil.mystical ones - funny, that, Here's a cou...

My advice would rather be to have a "Builder" unit that creates buildings, instead of a unit that levels into a building. It seems to make more sense, for one thing. And for the Cult, I have a few name suggestions for their god: Vaknor Sorceren Durazan Ar'kansor Gaur-Marak Zozzanda Dornomin Zakura A...
