Re: The User Art Topic

Aside from, just possibly, Kerstin Nordh. @doofus-01: I know what you mean, and I see the same thing. I guess what I meant by the huge wall of text was that stuff tends to be exaggerated to keep it recognizable when it gets stylized--where those features which are being exaggerated came from in the ...

Re: The User Art Topic

@Jetrel, anakayub, et al: I remember something like this coming up in reference to Kitty's female Assassin portrait--someone didn't like the "girly" stance, which, while admittedly not really the most realistic thing, did serve to accentuate the feminine factor of the figu…portrait. (Whether that is...

Re: Japanese translation help offer

Err, I'm not sure if the subject has moved on from where I left the translation all those years ago by now, but yes, it's GPL, do whatever you want with it--if someone wanted to make it into a wiki page, of course they should go ahead. I would pitch in and help, but unfortunately, I'm busy with scho...

Re: Mr Bigmouth Anonymous.

Velldeselba Senki, only with boarding.

That is to say, FPS, but with steampunk airship battles and lots of cannons--duke it out broadside for broadside, or try to get in close, grapple on, and take the enemies' ship by storm.

Hammersound: http://www.hammersound.net/

Some of the links are broken, and some of the soundfonts aren't too good, but there are a few gems in there.

(Neoskel is colorblind? And such a good artist all the same! Or am I the colorblind one?) Agreed with stimj--also, what if you were to add some slightly better-defined "blocks" at the base of the flat wall sections, like you've got on the towers (incidentally, I prefer the ones on the left-hand tow...

Ahaha. Animu in my mind just means something drawn like a weeaboo would, you know like they do it in mangoes c;
Thanks. And yes; they're floating mushrooms, because...err...I forgot.

Or that man with the gun in his mouth in Black Cat. I guess chakra-powered weapons don't have recoil, or something. Back on-topic(?): still drawing animu and trying to get the hang of digital painting. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/055/7/f/Suwako_by_Nazerine.png edit: my English, she is be ...

Re: Favorite freeware game

Yume Nikki is very good, but it's not a game you play to complete (or at least, I didn't)--it's a game you play to experience. Just walking around in the trippy landscapes with the throbbing bass going on in the background is enough. It's even better if you have a large, somewhat flickery screen, an...

Re: Japanese translation help offer

Same experience as ancestral, as I recall. I did a bunch of translations (got almost all of Orcish Incursion that wasn't already translated done, as well as some other stuff) right after starting this thread, but...somewhere along the line I lost the files and then got distracted and never heard bac...

...I have to say, that sounds rather cool. You wouldn't happen to still have the link, would you?

Although, it's true, if it weren't done right, it would probably be pretty bad.

Cuttlefish have pretty big eyes. I'd almost say to make them bigger, oh ho ho ho.

Looking very good! Maybe have the tentacles in front fanned out a little more, though? They look kinda weird all held together like that...

I can't really say anything about the top two, but I can say that the "imbalance" with love potion was intentional. Melon mentioned it a while back.

I can also say that this topic was dead, and had been for four months. Oh ho ho ho c;

Re: Outsider Art for Bad Moon Rising

The arrow looks natural enough to me--she normally holds the bow vertically, but isn't right now for whatever reason (EG this way makes for a nicer composition), and is just resting the arrow there for a few seconds. I do that sometimes, though I am admittedly a rather...casual archer. In any case, ...
