What about technocratic attitudes?
The wittiest have most to say. Witties are da bosses, everyone should listen to.

Add some details to hippo. He looks ok, but would need some (uhhh... the word is missing), saddle and armor/decorations.

Making 3rd level outlaws official would be a first step to ruining the concept of 2 level branches. The day I will see Highwayman or Ranger in official line will be the day when Griphon-Masta-of-All-Hexxa, 3rd level Griphon will be soon-to-be. 3-level Outlaws? yes, but then, Knalgans should be split...

[ 2. The Free Goblins eventually become a mixed goblinoid settlement, just like all of the others, with the only difference being the orcs do not treat the goblins like dirt. Two is the most likely. But it seems to make the proposed tree... odd, because it includes no orcs, even though there would ...

I nominate Dragon Master.

With JW and turin on both sides, he will make this council fall.

But, if we are to be serious, then forming sort of Wesnoth canon would be a nice idea. It would come with dividing the Faction & Era Contributions on Approved Eras/Factions and Unofficial E/F.

And everyone remembers your first avatar, DM.

I also did cut/paste. That gives some insight into the process. If you will persist deeper, you will find that you can draw your own unit from scratch.

Russ form a secondary mercenary line for now

One branch only for Slavia units. Nothing further, and judging by appearances, Slavia died out, as no one responsed or commented, so I postpone the work till I have my phantoms ready.

You shall have comments, when you will have some art.
I have seen too many trees, and yet I'm not as experienced forum member as some. And if I am to comment on tree, then I simply say: typical.

Now I give proposal:

You don't like werewolves? So let's go to their slavic roots:

Here I give, as we Poles name them: Wilkolak - Wilkolaki(plural)

Take it or leave it, but comment on it.

The elvish factions may play totally differently, but they're all still elves, that's just boring. I don't understand what is so appealing about elves, I don't like 'em that much. It's rarely happens, but I agree with turin on this point. Elves and elves make sometimes bigger difference than two di...

Default makes it clear. I see no reason for changing, with making 'default' = 'great continent' some new players wouldn't catch, what are actually the main Wesnoth eras (default, that is).

Demi-angel?
Proclaimer?
Rhymester?
There is so many variants of angelic hierarchy, that we can easily cross out user-names. Demi-angel? That sounds a bit awkward. (and blasphemous :) )
