Personally, I think the ulf should be made a MP-only unit, and balanced as such*. It is not very interesting to control in campaigns, because it is useless leveling him, but it does, from the games I've observed, make for interesting MP games. I competely agree with you, Turin. Actually the limitat...

Okay, I feel like we are going round and round the mulberry bush. I'm tired of repeating this so let me make this really simple for the 4th time, the ulfs ARE NOT WEAK IN 8.11. In their current form, they may be the best lvl 1 unit in the game. I don't throw best lvl 1 unit around for nothing. It it...

If I were to post a CVS build of Wesnoth, would the 'MP adepts' (I remember when I played the most MP out of anyone, now Turin thinks I'm out of touch  ) be willing to test it for us? I think that can be easily arranged... and we would be able to test it for you with different races, on differ...

Or I could testify that the Ulf change doesn't make them uber or anything, and encouraged me to actaully recruit them once or twice... Is that what you meant by "They can then post the replays of the negative affects of your changes."? Oh trust me, people will start recruiting them more and more on...

:irritated: I just want to snipe that the comment about the ulfzerker giving a "guaranteed kill" are totally bogus. Just like everything else, it is a strong chance, not a guarantee. An ulf in forest versus an assassin in forest favors neither - there's a strong chance the ulf might lose, and even ...

So, mayI ask how long you've been playing Wesnoth? You're a very recent joiner on the forums but that's hardly a reliable indicator. I've played for about seven months, maybe more, as any of the MP players can attest to. In that time I suspect I've played or observed around 400 games, using some si...

In the case of the assassin, actual playtesting showed it was overpowered. If the same occurs for the ghoul, change it, but if not, don't change it for symmetry alone or something. Again I disagree. Your play testing might show that, but in multiplayer over several dozen games, its the opposite. Fo...

This is because in real life forest IS more common than mountains. Most maps will continue to have more forest and grassland, because that way it is mroe realistic. It is true that, in mountains, ulfserkers kick ass, but mountains are intentionally rare. So ulfserkers DO need an upgrade in order to...

Howdy people. This is my first post on the forum, but I'd like you to hear me out, because I've been playing multiplayer constantly for the better part of six months with people like Miq, Dragon King, ZDZ, pikel, soliton and others. I'd like to say I think some of these proposed changes, while made ...
