Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation
Guess I need to jump in to make sure that I am not too badly misunderstood. ;) The thing is that after my post Soliton was spot on. For most translation teams it is not worth the extra effort to work on the translations of the dev branch until the "owners of the content" state that they ar...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation
Lastly, Ivanovic himself is against moving back and forth from one branch (master) to another (stable) to apply translation. If some translation work has started to master, switching back to stable to apply a minor change has a high risk of creating a lot of regressions in master if he is not caref...

Re: Is this a bug or intended?
There should have been NO syntax changes since the start of the beta phase since those tend to heavily break compatibility. Changes are only allowed to fix bugs, not completely alter features... In case you really need a syntax change to fix a bug, please send a mail to the dev-ml. If there are othe...

Re: List of translators with plenty of free time
You might have some pretty bad timing here. Right now I would guess that most translators are busy working on getting 1.11.x translated so that 1.12.0 will be as completely translated into their language as possible. Thanks to the stringfreeze the development branch is no moving target right now...

Google Summer of Code 2014
What is Google Summer of Code? GSoC is an option provided by Google which allows students to work fulltime on open source projects during the summer. Meaning Google will pay students money to work on cool projects. The students are mentored and selected by those open source projects. http://www.wesn...

Re: 1.118.8 black screen on laptop
I think I saw something similar happen for me just yesterday. Where did you try to switch to full screen? Was it right in the main menu or while you were in the game? Could you please start a game and try it there? Please try it using the hotkey "ctrl + f" as well as going to the preferenc...

Re: Problem with teams
Another problem is that the settings made in the direct source does not affect the game. As you can see in the image: Make sure to set the user_team_name to something *not* empty. The display string comes from that variable. The other one is just internal use. That is: remove all variables that yo...

Re: Names of two units wrongly translated to Polish
I am not 100% sure if there is an active translator left. The last one I had contact with has the forum account "fatality". Maybe try to contact him?GunChleoc wrote:If there is none, somebody among the Polish translators who is able to do the job could step up and fill the role.

Re: Names of two units wrongly translated to Polish
Maybe just send a short mail to the maintainer of the polish translation? You can find the email address at WesnothTranslations.

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.7
Yes, we seem to currently be lacking a packager for OSX. I have no idea what happened to our current packager and if he completely stopped working on Wesnoth or if he is just busy. Also I have no idea how the packages are actually generated, but I guess you at least need OSX with XCode installed. I...

Wesnoth 1.11.6
Wesnoth 1.11.6 is out! After about a month, the sixth release of the 1.11.x development branch is here! As it is the norm with development releases, it contain many more bugs than the latest stable release from the 1.10.x series. Additionally, 1.10.x content might not be compatible with 1.11.x due ...

Wesnoth 1.10.7
Wesnoth 1.10.7 is out! This is a bugfix release for the 1.10.x series and it is compatible with the other 1.10.x versions. Since the release of 1.10.6 several issues were fixed.
