new ability: swordsmanship
Considering that not all swordsman are like, how about if certain swordsman have a ability that guarantee a 50% or better accuracy for certain sword wielding units, similar to the marksmanship ablity of the elvish marksman & sharpshooter. This ability would suit the elvish captain/Marshal well, ...

why not have: w-up s-down q-left(upwards) a-left(downwards) e-right(upwards) d-right(downwards) not necessarily those commands, but something like it. because some of those are used for current hotkeys, i'm pretty sure. plus, it 1) takes up space and 2) is more complex than just arrowkeys. If the m...

Adding more keyboard support
Its it possible to add a few more controls to the keyboard and not exclusively to the mouse. the ones I have in particular is: 1. key configuration option for scrolling the map (currently arrow key). 2. Moving and attacking units using the keyboards. 3. A key for backwards scrolling to the previous ...

Hotkeys for the arrow keys.
G'day, I want to make the hotkey for scrolling up the "w" key instead of the "up" arrow key, and such for the other scrolling direction keys. I dont' see this option in the hotkey window in the game. I have no problem editing the preferences file in ~/.wesnoth directory, if incas...

I've never owned a mac but I'm kinda curious, judging from the previous post, wesnoth seems burdensome to compile on a mac. I though a mac OSX was a unix variant, meaning you can install the GNU tools like Makefile and GCC (if mac don't already provide you with it), and install wesnoth and its depen...

And you obviously didn't notice Dave's post in the Coder's Corner forum about feature cooling: all new features that need new WML coding are put on hold till after 1.0. That includes, I believe, unit abilities, unit traits and attack abilities. Sorry I haven't noticed. But okie, I'll refrain from p...

New trait, critical attack
A unit with the 'critical attack' trait has a 1/20 chance of reducing the enemy's HP to 1 when attacking an enemy.
-AND-
other restraits can be applied, such as a unit can only use 'critical attack' if it has less than half HP remaining.

felt like I raised that elf myself. Couldn't bear the thought of losing him. icon_lol.gif I know what you mean, this is probably one of the features in this game that make it stands apart from all the rest. Ya know, if you add a strong storyline, with multiple choices for scenarios and endings, wes...

Jaramir, Its quite intresting how you got both of your adversary to seperate their forces around the whole map. I also noticed you sacrifice your horsemen early on to eliminate the orcish warlord. Not that anything is bad with that just remmember that horsemen are expensive, I normally sacrifice elv...
