The original Chamaleon sprite was made by Neoriceisgood (As half of all other old sprites that people poste areound here) I just took it as a base to create my Icecrab.

While healing you can make an animation of a wounded soldier walking to formation and removing bandages if you are getting extra ones.
Well you will really need 3 of those animations..

The perspective in all units made them look to the south-east hex (lower rigth, pink arrow) Practice ye lightsource. Actually just find a lightsource. My timing is more or less 1 image per hour or two.
A unit has 1 stance, 1 defend and 3-4 attack images per attack minimum (it's really 2-3 hours per base image, less in the others).
You could need more images if you the unit has some extra facings or standing animations (bats).

If you don't have better ideas for the demo, you can try to compose something for the UMC people*.
Lets say shorts themes based on the classical elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water)
