I've made a bugfix release that should fix the crashes. (It was a Wesnoth bug after all, but I've worked around it.) Update: another 1.12.5 user also reported this problem. I would suggest just upgrading to 1.12.6. Unless you happen to know how to use git bisect . So it happens EVERY time you open the EoHS menu? Is that just the regular menu, the off-turn menu, or both? Does it make a difference whether the game is a networked multiplayer game or just local? If Wesnoth crashes, it's always a Wesnoth bug rather than an EoHS bug. I'll work around it if I can, but this doesn't give me enough information to figure out what the issue is.

The "weird path" bug is more complicated to fix. It happens because I'm using wesnoth's built-in [move_unit]. Thanks! Compulsion hasn't been used much in the past because of its difficult conditions, so it's not surprising that there are a few bugs that haven't been caught yet. I've fixed these two. I think I'm going to release later today.

EDIT: Still workin' on the "weird moves".

Honestly, part of the problem here might be Efficient + Summoner? Or Efficient + expensive summons in general. Do you think the old gesture is better than a double-click? Or are you just saying the inconvenience of the old way is less bad than the inconvenience of having it pop up randomly? I think it's pretty likely I'll be able to get the best of both worlds.
