So it should be ok. Scenario 1 + 2 work fine, but the game crashes in "The Meeting" immedeately after the orc leader says call forward the warrior Jaghuar the game scrolls on Jaghuar (I suppose as I didn't have time to see) and than BfW quits without further notice you can try for yoursel...

Well, I'm out of ideas. :? Until I get that bug worked out, you can always edit your save file manually and change his type from "Marauder Sea Wolf" to "Alfhelm Lord". Ok, I hacked the save file. As soon as I'll have played through the rest of the campaign (PART III), I'll give ...

For which version of BfW is this one intended/tested?

Try deleting the lines [variable] equals="no" name="alfisfire" [/variable] Deleted it from the fizzling torch.cfg and replayed starting with "The Siege Begins". Same result: Fizzling Torch: Alfhelm/Lord becomes a Alfhelm/Sea Wolf Betrayal: Alfhelm is still a Sea Wolf T...

Thanks a lot. Here is my processus Just a few comments on your map: - to simulate impassable walls use deep water with a castle wall behind: you get the wanted result and have a quite credibile look; - it was unusual to find big unused open spaces inside the city walls - walls are a lot of work and...

It's odd indeed. A save game is attached; hope this helps...

I figured out the boatsman-switch thing, it basically had to do with confused unit types. The fix will be in the next version, as will the fix for the wildfire thing. Ehm, sorry, but now (BfW 1.3.14, Alfhelm 0.3.2) Alfhelm doesn't swich back to Marauder Lord after "Fizziling Torch". I loo...

feature or bug?

Hi, first of all: nice to have another imperial campaign. That said in "Remnants of the past" the keep disappears after your first turn, which means you can only recruit/recall three units. Is this intended, or is this a bug? If it is intended, you might want to add a sentence in the start...

... Now, when you fight Evil, I would like him to die, and reappear in a second form, and then a third form. But that's sorta hard for me, not sure how to code it. ... I'm no coder, but I think you should be ok with a "die event": if EVIL - 1st form is killed then create EVIL 2nd form cha...

some more cents...

As I'm at it: I was remembering an episode of the Battle of Adrianopoli (376aC), which marked the beginning of the end of the roman empire as the dominating force of the mediterranean region. The Huns (the barbarian invading force) had a continous flow of information and "troops" by desert...

the torch doesn't burn and the boat doesn't swim

Hi Turin, just wanted to give you some homework for the holidays  Currently - BfW 1.3.12 - the campaign is broken in "A Fizzling Torch"; after the intro Alfheim isn't turned into a Boatsmen, which means he has to storm the walls to get to the warehouse to set on fire...risulting bein...

Re: Purpose of the death of the Runesmiths.

... Well, yeah, the hammer's properties can't really be toned down much if these requirements remain. well, it is not really necessary that the hammer, or anything that is done to it, causes the world to end or the dwarven race being bound in enslavement: it is enough that the charakters of the cam...

Re: New undead campaign

I've thought of an idea for a campaign and this is roughly the story: A "good" guy dies and gets raised form the dead by a necromancer, but, retains his free will and runs away. As he travels, he tries to raise an army to fight the necromancer who raised him. I've thought that he could st...

elves and undead

Hi, there I just started to replay your campaign right from the beginning and noticed that you are able to recruit Undead right from the start. Is this intended or is this a bug? In case it is intended, maybe you should drop a line of explanation about it. Something like: "Through the master of...
