Wesnoth Inc Board Members -- Election 2019

The time has come to choose a board of three members to decide the course of Wesnoth, Inc, and some important policy decisions for Wesnoth. While most day-to-day Wesnoth work is developer driven, we do have some financial, legal, and strategic issues which need to be firmly decided by a small focuse...

Wesnoth Inc Board Members -- Request for Nominations

The Wesnoth board was established in 2016, a little over three years ago. Since that time, Jetrel, Vultraz, and doofus01 have served on the board and taken responsibility for discussing commissions and managing the finances of the project. We originally intended to hold new elections for the board e...

Re: A mod to make Wesnoth's RNG a little less frustrating

@enclave: To be clear, I understand that right now the steps to enable this are quite complicated. It's a feature in development that I'm asking for help with by more tech-savvy users who would love to help out and provide feedback. I hope to eventually make it an easy option that any user can selec...

A mod to make Wesnoth's RNG a little less frustrating

Battle for Wesnoth has always been a game about fate and the chaos of war. As such, it relies fairly heavily on an RNG as its central mechanic. We have also always been fairly strict and 'hardcore' about applying that RNG. In Wesnoth, if you are told you have a 70% chance to hit, we mean we are goin...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

It would be nice, if source tarballs (corresponding to release) were readily accessible from same page where binaries are. This is a good suggestion -- we have a lot of opportunities to improve in how we distribute our source and how well we document the build process. We are working on it, but rig...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

I have written a document outlining the development philosophy of Argentum Age, which is based fairly heavily on Wesnoth's development philosophy. Please read it here: http://argentumage.com/about.html

The chat crashed after he played Dark Sacrifice. There was no "#talk" and "All" label anymore and the chat messages were gone. I cannot replicate it on my own, though. The chat also crashed after switching between the main lobby and the library, in this case the chat worked agai...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

An enemy with 3 life remaining was about to break my seal. I used overgrowth to destroy his Dawn Obelisk in that lane, which I was expecting to kill him, but it did not affect his life points. For better or worse, this is working as designed. The original implementation had it working as you expect...

Re: My latest project -- a digital collectible card game

@Kwandulin/@Sapient: Thank you for your feedback. I have shipped a new patch which is now available which addresses a bunch of things. Here are the patch notes: - Fixed a campaign bug in Irendahl fields which prevented progressing beyond 75% completion. - Changed rules regarding where a land can be ...

Thank you for the feedback! It's very much appreciated. I have fixes ready for many of these issues, though I won't be able to ship them for a few days since I'm traveling right now and don't want to risk messing anything up.
