Re: Infantry Wars Era

Oh! And one issue - I want to report a bug. When Fighters and Soldiers deploy into MG nests, they lose their traits and don't get them back after undeployment. Maybe MGs should be a separate, "damage taker" (akin to HI, woses, or D-Guards) class, which, rather than deployment had steadfast and dealt...

Re: Infantry Wars Era

This is a good era, of decent quality, animated units. I like it, and see a lot of potential for it to expand. Unfortunately it is also quite symetrised and repetitive, so I'd like to help, at least via thought. ;) I have a couple of proposals for graphical improvements: 1. To easen identification f...

Re: Are Dunefolk human?

Their vulnerabilities do not help either. Why are they all vulnerable to crushing damage? I bet they use different kind of armour that doesn't absorb blunt strikes as well or is more brittle. Auxiliary infantry (ex. thieves, fencers) is even more vulnerable to impact, as they have no armour at all,...

Re: Are Dunefolk human?

Technically, one can have them both be called "Humans" ingame (the name displayed in the sidebar), but still have them grouped under a different name in the help. E.g.: [race] id=human male_name= _ "race^Human" female_name= _ "race+female^Human" plural_name= _ "race^Humans" {HUMAN_NAMES} [/race] [r...

Re: Are Dunefolk human?

I think Dunefolk are human.
Separate race is for:
1. Decreasing "human race" clutter, both when it comes to description and units list;
2. Different names of individual soldiers.

Re: Markovchain???

If any inexprienced modder, like me, wonders how to disable the markov chain to leave real names for historical factions (for example USSR with its Ivans, Vladimirs and Nikitas) unchanged from the list - set markov_chain_size to a high value that exceeds the count of letters in the names.

Re: World War II Era

The artwork is great. Especially tank graphics - unlike Battlefield Europe's they have actual 3d feel! I also like the simplicity of the era. On the other hand, I suggest to: 1. Make infantry, crew-served weapon and tank recruits have different levels - infantry (riflemen, medics, mechanics) to leve...
