Re: Count Kromire

It was just one of those pointless repetitious scenarios where you start over and over looking for right tricks and dice rolls. There are poorly balanced UMC campaigns that rely on save-loading. But this campaign is not the case. It is possible to win it without save-loads. That's what I like about...

Re: Count Kromire

You should attack and ideally kill the enemy leader before he started to recruit. In order to do that you should not move under his vision prematurely. Your units have further vision than he. Use Ctrl+V to show how far he can move. Vision is one more hex further than movement. Carefully examine the...

Re: Count Kromire

You have to avoid triggering the alarm. It's triggered by any of them attacking you. You attacking them is fine though. Danke. I'll try that. Sneaking north through the mountains worked but it is not possible to kill the leader before he calls in the hordes to overkill... All right got past the dum...

Re: Count Kromire

Can't get past the first few turns of first scenario on Easy. Guards are too many and too strong. No time to use plague to create more units. Seems hopeless.

Re: Sand in the Wind, Dunefolk campaign (4 scenarios, 1.13/1.14)

Hello. I just played this campaign (normal difficulty, I'm no expert) and found it pretty good. The story/dialogue was great. The battles 1, 2, 4 were not too hard, using the sand in 1 & 4 (as hinted in 1) is the key. 2 was the most interesting as one has to deal with 2 foes and an ally. The south f...

Gonna post an unpopular opinion...

I don't like Isar's Cross. Not even a little bit. I find it dull and badly setup for a good game.

Re: Avian Tribes race v1.0 [Help needed]

Can't help with 1.14 but still have 1.12 installed and noted a few things about the Avians. They all do really good damage, especially the Brawler and Explorer!

Re: Poll: do you like Wesnoth RNG?

Part of the fun of rolling dice is screaming whining and [censored] about it... :) I've been rolling dice (real ones for many many years) for my whole life and well while it might cause me to get furious at times I wouldn't give it up for all the gold in Egypt.

Re: Screwed-up screen

I saw this too under Linux when not using full screen. Can you please provide this information ? Debian stretch, running Wesnoth 1.14.6. UncleSam also mentioned he'd seen the exact same thing. And what resolution are you using? Sorry I can't reproduce it now! I did see it, honest... <hic> Well I'll...

It's terrible. When used to OBSERVE a game you end up permablind.

Re: Giving arrays variable names and values that are also variables

Hi, just tried the mod and it gave an error (long) but the gist seems to be that side 99 is invalid when it tried to create rebel units. 99 is the default set by the mod but can be altered, should I try with a lower #? It's a neat idea.

Re: Bloodlegacy (vampire faction) & art

I'd like to point out that 'Blood Legacy' is currently not on the 1.14 add-on server, so 'Era of Myths + Blood Legacy' will probably not work properly. The following add-on had errors and could not be loaded: /home/user/.config/wesnoth-1.14/data/add-ons/EoM_Bloodlegacy/_main.cfg Please report this ...

Re: Half Civ era

Couple of observations. 1. The large number of swimgs means that you must turn on accel speed or it is too slow, is it really needed that units have 10 swings? 2. Ship vs land is very low damage, and it lets one pull a dirty trick to hold a city... park a ship and land units can't take the city doin...
