Re: The Ravagers - SP campaign now for 1.14 - [Feedback and development]

Yes, the point of view belongs to a different character on that map, but it is still Dayton who is narrating (something previously narrated to him by someone), at the Inn. So I don't think it's out of viewpoint that Dayton is commenting on the spawning of a legendary enemy. It's not out of context ...

Re: The Ravagers - SP campaign now for 1.14 - [Feedback and development]

So this just happened to me. I just played 16 - The Wail, and a legendary enemy spawned. Not sure if this was fixed or not, because i haven't updated the game since last time.

Re: Poll: do orcs eat humans?

I figure they'd eat anything as a last resort. Though as far as i know, humans supposedly taste terrible. Also as far as we've seen, orcs have been more or less getting along well with other races when they're not raiding or conquering lands. "By the way, we tehd to eat you people" sounds like a pre...

Re: Wings of Victory 0.9.5-RC2 (Drake Campaign for BfW 1.14)

[Are you serious...? Offensive to whom, a fictional species? Well sure, but that's not the point. I believe it's offensive to pretty much anyone of any race who has ever been denigrated as being lacking in intelligence, of which I believe you'll find there are many. Even if it is factually true in ...

That is a flatly absurd statement, in multiple ways.
Actually, I'm tempted to agree with him. But those particular lines don't seem to really add anything. If it was an actual plot point, maybe, but they just seem to be there to sound hardcore or something.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

The sprite/fire faerie faces still bother me a bit, though. It might be the extra lines, especially around the nose and mouth. The brow area also is a bit odd looking to me, but I'm not sure which one is making it off putting for me (maybe a combination of the above?). :hmm: I'll try to make furthe...

Re: BT attempts portraiting

And here's the male Sword Dancer, which quite honestly I should've posted way back in January. For the past few months, my progress looked like me turning on the computer twice a week, making minor adjustments in less than 30 minutes and turning the computer off. Really slow way to get anything done.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

So first off, I made some adjustments to the four fairy portraits a little while ago. Hopefully they look better now than they did the first time. I'm leaving those up for a bit for comparison's sake.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

I'd like to upload the stuff I've been working of for months (not much) so I can finally move on. I'll post these voidhunter sketches now, and the rest of the last batch later.

Re: nemaara's art (and other art for Genesis)

Not saying the guy is bad or anything, but i think calling the style Wesnoth compatible is a bit of a stretch. I might know a couple of alternatives but I'm not sure which of them is doing commissions. I'll look it up soon.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

I know, but these a scribbles so you will have to do this for you portraits as well, and I know how much work that is. I've been working with scribbles like that and I know that they are just the first step. The scribbles are mostly a security blanket for me and have been for a long time. For bette...

Nice portraits, but now the fun begins with coloration. I've just read a comic, where drawing and illustration / coloration was done by two different persons ^^. This can be challenging.
I have been doing this for a long time actually.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

On a more cheerful note, I finally managed to get myself to draw some more demons. This is an attempt at the male and female variants of the Voidreaver/Voidwatcher, from Genesis. I may have taken some inspiration from a character in Magic the Gathering (wouldn't be the first time) when designing them.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

And I'm here again. Still haven't done much work these past few month. I spent all of December with a broken wrist and never really tried to get back into shape, so I'm out of practice. I have been working on a couple of character portraits for a personal project and they look rather embarrassing, b...

Re: Secrets of the Ancients (Undead Campaign)

Sure, if you want. But, at the end of SotA his plan was to do exactly that in Elensefar, so you would have to deal with that somehow. I figure they gets beaten at Elensefar, flee and end up in the far south. Part of the reason why i made a thread on the Sleepless Sea, was because the idea was that ...
