I assume unit stats should come first and sprites second? That's how the dunefolk team did it too, and it makes sense, it's a lot easier to change stats than to make/change sprites.

On the other hand, can this theoretically cause any other kind of bugs anywhere else? I'm guessing not, after all, it's already an endlevel in defeat at the death of a unit, which is pretty much immediate in a 'regular' fight, so I guess an 'extra' [cancel_action] won't discard anything necessary.....

There will be a tooltip, of course, but let's divide and conquer. We should first decide what the interface shall be, and only then write documentation for it.

Forget that I said median. The value there is calculated as (probability_lt + (1.0 - probability_gt)) / 2.0, where probability_lt and probability_gt are the probabilities of hitting less than / more than the actual number of hits.

The value 78.9 is the median between "probability of hitting less than actual" and "probability of hitting more than actual". Actually, I was going to suggest asking the ladder era team if changing the Rebel's mage fits their work. Maybe they'll say it's out of scope, but since they're considering changes to the Shaman maybe some simultaneous changes to the Mage would be the right idea at the right time.

Not commenting on the suggested change, but just so you know - currently, own unit / ally / enemy is indicated by the orb shown on top of a unit. By default, I think green/orange/red mean own units, blue means allies, and no orb means enemies, but that can be changed in the advanced preferences. Als...
