first of all, sorry for it took me such a long time to reply to some things here - we were pretty busy thinking about all of your comments. Fungus 40% of 50% at the very beginning we thought that the 50% fungus would be a nice trait and would help DF in certain situation in a fairly balanced matter....

high price, low life, and scouting role the Jinni has will make him quite a different role from the Burner. guess you are confusing this units role. it's mp will be probably capped at 6mp so it hardly can be called a scout compared to the max 9 mp of rider. if balanced well, arcane will be just fin...

2) I can see the Jinni having a fiery body (with high resistance to fire) but only arcane attacks. Actually thought about something similar, melee fire ranged arcane - since yeah, burner would useless otherwise. Also your depiction of such a Jini is pretty unique and would differ from the mainline ...

However, there are still only two recruitable merfolk and one naga in multiplayer. Same case will be here. loy + elves merforlk / orc + dunefolk naga. Even if we all agreed on this changes, that is not going to be enough make dunefolk comparable to other default factions. In fact, there has to be done a lot more than just that. But it's a start in the right direction.

so after all, (1) switching the name between Arch Mage and Great Mage makes sense and should be easy.

(2)melee magic and (3) a bit phys res make sense too me.

A Naga unit for the DF is not a bad fit though it is not unique or clever either. It would have a slight different appearance. Who says nagas are only in the great continent? 6-2 melee poison spear/spine 3-3 ranged bow Movement perhaps should be 7 as well I like it. A lot. What about giving +1 strike, but removing the slow? I support this. A lot. Impact mostly use-full against drakes. Currently swords man has base dmg of 13, hence he deals roughly 11,7 dmg against skels...
