Re: Are we still in need of new music?

I am not sure wether I was taken seriously earlier or not, though I think my commitment to other project here in Wesnoth prove I am not the one to joke about this kind of stuff publicly. I have been part of the music industry my entire life and even though I have worked in different departments for ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units

shield very much WIP, but now you can read the second blade.
and because of the shield is a bit smaller, you can see that the holster on the back looks like the holster on front
so its no longer to be confused with quiver, right?

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming

I see majority like Dune Paragon. Bladewhirler indeed works for the lv3 dual naga. It looks like is if it really would swiftly swing those two blades. As for the chakram, Ringcaster is such a good name, We might as well use it as a lv3 for the chakram naga, so all we have to find is a lv2 name for i...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units

well to be fair, dwarf fighter too wields two different weapons (axe/hammer) but it is not clrear by the animatiin where the hammer suddenly comes from. So i think i will take just as much liberties when animating. concept wise, i would say i will use both version (3) and (5). depensing on which of ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming

i forgot who came up with that name but “Ringcaster” really is a great name.

Alternativly we can consider using it for the pv3 and use something less exciting for the lv2

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units

It might be due to the background, but it's somewhat hard to distinguish where the blades actually end. Yes, that is because the blade are not coloured in the yellow tint. That all would have be fixed and unified in the progress. But i was more worried about the general design concept of the sprite...

Re: Main Factions Balance

I agree with Penta on his statement. Start with a single faction. That allows you to go in-depth and if you put some efforts on showcasing your data in a pleasant way, people will engage much better with it. A good example on how to propose a Faction Rework is this: Dunefolk Rework . You will more l...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming

A day and night passed and looking back on it, these names don't sound that bad after all. Currently we are having this ... Any thoughts on wether the Lv3 Chakram shoudl be called Windblade or Bladewhirler ? The old candidate Bladewind wasn't like that much in the end. Dune Soldier, Dune Captain, Du...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units

Ok so I received mixed feedback for the concepts of the Lv2 Swordsman and LV3 Bladesman (disregarding the Lv4 as it looks bad - the stance). Some find it good, other preferred the shielded version. I will try to resize the shield instead of removing it and attach a second blade on its back rather th...
