Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi everyone! I'm Crimson_Conure and I've been playing Wesnoth for about 10 years, but only started playing semi-seriously recently. I used to play very casually on and off, and explore various add-ons which were really fun (I love Era of Magic!!! <3 <3) Nice to meet you all <3 everybody is so nice h...

Re: Multiplayer Replay Analysis

Hi all! I played a game that I thought was interesting, and I would greatly appreciate it if anybody here could go over the game move by move and basically annotate for me any glaring mistakes. Furthermore I would like a brief map review for this map. I quite like it. Thank you in advance! :) 2p — H...

Re: Wesnoth strategy puzzles

Wow, I already learned a lot! :D. I totally missed that idea of moving twice with the NE nightgaunt. Yeah, this whole concept seems useful for training Wesnoth tactics. From experience playing chess, I can say that people, even grandmasters, miss simple mathematical tactics all the time. P.s. Thank ...

Re: Multiplayer Replay Analysis

Hi! Could somebody please check this game out? My opponent started a very vicious attack on the right, but then later decided to leave the game on move 12 (so I ended up droiding the opponent side and winning very easily). I also sided my side on move 13 by mistake XD I am wondering who has an advan...

Re: Multiplayer Replay Analysis

I think a single best advice I could give you is to retreat at night against orc and attack at day. Defense there was entirely possible if you put spear in village instead of cavalry, actually it would have been the best, but considering your play I think retreating and attacking at day might have ...

Re: Multiplayer Replay Analysis

Its hard to give an advice against 100g AI because you won easily. My bad! Okay, I played a multiplayer game today (first game in a year or so), and I would like some advice for this game (I got crushed). I was loyalists and my opponent was northerners. I think the specific advice I'm looking for i...

Re: Multiplayer Replay Analysis

Hey guys! I'm a beginnerish Wesnoth player that comes on from time to time. I've played since 2006 but I have no place for competition :P. I would like to test if I can upload one of my replays to make sure it works. But also I would like the game to be analyzed. It was against AI. In this game, is ...

Re: Era of Magic (EoMa) 2.0 out now! Tons of new stuff!

Of course not. It was a place, not a creature, remember? But in terms of naming - no, the inspiration came from elsewhere. Oh CMON! ye right jk xDD they just have the same colors and everything :p, and yes Black Omen is one of my favorite places in terms of looks :o http://imgur.com/a/9hO5A h...

Re: Era of Magic (EoMa) 2.0 out now! Tons of new stuff!

@inferno8 ah I see. Now I want to see the original sprites haha. I love the destroyers btw! Its my favorite faction (and I bet the omen is based off the black omen from chrono trigger xDD :D) Man I love all those slight chrono trigger references :p Are there any like... groups for people that play E...

Re: Era of Magic (EoMa) 2.0 out now! Tons of new stuff!

I like how it has a little resemblance to Chrono Trigger! :D For example, the Sky Kingdom is comparable to the Kingdom of Zeal? And the Void Mage's outfit looks similar to the Prophet's outfit from Chrono Trigger :p. Well not like identical but it just reminds me of it. xD Edit/Post 2: I see that it...

Re: Pictures don't register?

Hey, in order to get the links to work you also need to use i.imgur.com and add the file extension (.png) to the end. So instead of [ img]https://imgur.com/d0gyoaS[/img] you would do [ img]http://i.imgur.com/d0gyoaS.png[/img] (I added a space at the beginning so it would display the code) You can p...

Re: Chess Talk - Wesnoth analogies

Took care of your repeat posting *changes hat* I'm not too avid a chess player, but I really like your interpretation of chess openings! When I was developing characters for a project (unfinished like most of my projects, one of the ways I determined their personality was also wesnoth factions they...
