Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

The priest quest, how do I bring him the wheat+ There's no quest involving the priest and wheat. If you remember what made you think there was, maybe I should reword that part. what do I do now that I have given the net to the Frank? ... and Frank is in the woods. Just took him a while He occasiona...

Re: Armory Mod - Sp/Mp mod - Black Cross of Aleron

Let me start by saying that the Armory Mod is nothing short of epic. Well done, Samonella! Wow, thanks! :D 1. When a unit levels up to Level 2, it receives a double allocation of new weapons. This applies to both standard units and units that are peculiar to "The Black Cross of Aleron." Looks like ...

Re: The Rising Underworld

I noticed. Is it really impossible to beat Glac with fresh recruits? I hate recalling experienced units for fear of losing them. The only way I beat that was by going debug and messing around with the stuff LOL. And even if I had used my best troops, they still probably would've been mostly killed ...

Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

-as a consequence for Voadar getting caught doing something he shouldn't ... All this has a lot of potential, though it may be rather hard to implement. The thing about allowing the player to be caught/punished for misdeeds is that (to try to keep things realistic-ish) people would eventually stop ...

Re: The Rising Underworld

Nice campaign (playing v1.2.4 on Wesnoth 1.14.3). I like the text/dialogue, it makes some plot elements more believable. Like "Many times they suffered what seemed to be a critical loss, but somehow Wesnoth endured." from The Council of War, helps me believe Weldyn isn't destroyed by the time every...

Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

Here is solution. Wow, that's pretty different from mine! The only two methods I knew of were almost identical to each other. Anyway, here's my solution in game save form, even though the pictures are probably easier to reference while following along in your own game. (You have to check 'show repl...

Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

So I finally finished this, after three or four nights of playing it, and maybe 800 turns. I quite enjoyed it, so that is not a complaint! The puzzle in the mine was very hard -- or at least, the last section of it took me longer than I'd like to admit. Glad you liked it! And I confess that I made ...

Re: A Fiery Birth-Drake Campaign (9 Scenarios) Now on 1.14

Hey, great campaign! With a bit more work I think this would be good for mainline. Scenario 2 -"the dragon was weaker than over" -> the dragon was weaker than ever -"One of her ancestors," -> I had to re-read this a couple times because I thought it meant one of the dragon's ancestors. Scenario 4 -T...

Re: The Rising Underworld

Honorable Death Thos 'Demon' things have the ability 'enshadows'. This ability apparently creates a portable timezone that's different from the surrounding time (it uses different pictures). Which is weird. Maybe you want to look for the ability 'obscures' (e.g. LotI or IftU), which has the same ga...

In that case...please word it in a different way. This very ambigous. ._.
Huh, sure I guess. 'Stop to talk' is a common phrase where I'm from.

In other news, it turns out that getting an event to move the horse back to the stable would take a lot of work. :? Some parts of my code are a real mess.

Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

But...why would agreeing to stop to talk with Robert start a talk with Robert? 'Stop to talk,' as in stopping what you're doing for the purpose of talking, not 'stop the talk.' I wanted to point out that you maybe want to code either a 'no job is done twice in a row' You're right, that would be goo...

Re: Voyage of a Drake: an RPG

Awesome, thanks for writing all that up! And he said at one point 'Sometimes I wonder if you can't understand me after all!', which is weird, because he believes that I can't understand him. Maybe he means ' can '? He meant that, yeah, but it's purposely sloppy grammar for his character, sort of an ...

Re: Using the location of a unit

Is that how it works? I think it is. Thanks, Samonella! ;) Yup, exactly right! EDIT: And that's how you manipulate a unit's variables if need be, with [set_variable] , right? Like maybe: [set_variable] variable=generalHelloVariable.goto_x value=52 [/set_variable] [set_variable] variable=generalHell...
