Re: Dunefolk (previously Khalifate) race description

This is going yet, huh? With the dialect of Ænglisc that I speak, to say human Dunefolk implies that there are ‘non–human’ Dunefolk. Vice versa , Dunefolk humans implies that ‘Dunefolk’ is a quality present or applied to a subset of the other. I.e. that the Dunefolk are an offshoot from the greater ...

No need to reply or get to attending these any time soon. I will be editing to include more as I notice or detect them.

Re: Moonday Era

I like to add ### TODO tags in such places, either beside or in lieu of any values however possible. I don't think of any balancing as being counter–lore. Either you can introduce something analogous to the pre–Copernican epicycles which works to provide something that allows you to shift the weakne...

Re: A cross-post comparing wesnoth and other writing communities

Horrible writing gets mocked to scorn in an effort to drive away new authors. (in robot voice) Clarification required! Did you mean that their purpose is to drive away new authors, and so they scorn whatever gives them acceptable opportunity, or that they would rather not allow new authors if the n...

Re: Moonday Era

Some people only edit the topical post i.e. the threadstarter. Some people only answer questions and give cursory information. Some people make a new post every time they update. Depends on whether you want to bump the thread for attention or not. I'd say edit the first post and update it; if you ne...

Re: Moonday Era

the default human and mechanical race were replaced to fit the era I haven't looked at what you meant by that, but you do know that you can define a different [race] with the same displayed name, yes? If you defined a new [race] with same id= , then your new definition will not be used IIRC. Unless...

I'm just coming over from Stack Exchange, so I want to upvote and suggest edits here … You know that you can use [section=name]text[/section] rather than [spoiler]text[/spoiler] when you want to reduce the apparent length of your post. Both are initially hidden, but the Section has a "name" attribut...

AI which can change weapons at villages

I don't know if there is a better board in which to categorize this request or discussion. It seems to my albeit limited knowledge that most AIs nowadays are written in Lua. Situation: With one of my add–ons in development — Food Fighters, — I am writing [event] s which allow users to swap out the w...

I should've thought to look there. Okay, I'll do a pull sometime soon. I haven't finished it yet.

(By the way, the syntax schemas are now maintained as part of the ktexteditor library, not Kate.)
Those repos on https://cgit.kde.org/ must be old ones, then.

R-r-r-resurrection! I am making a few necessary changes to my own copy and thought that I'd let you all know so that you could throw in any of your own improvements or complaints. Here are the two biggest things which I am changing: preprocessor_block_end_statements will now be recognized with a set...

Re: Volunteer to narrate story and dub character diologue

Telling people that you have the equipment to do so does make this better than the many other times it has been suggested or recommended or requested. However, if you really wanted to make a new topic for discussion, I would recommend that you post a few demos here. I, personally, am not a huge fan ...

Re: Moonday Era

I like the names well enough. Not much more I can say as yet.

Don't forget to put the backstory and lore in Help pages so that we can read it in–game!

Not every lvl2 needs to be on the leader= lists.

Hasn't this gotten off the rails? I.M.H.O., The few of you who disagree so strongly should probably consider just making your own variant of the “Dunefolk”, both a larger collection for campaigns and a subset faction for multiplayer eras. Then, we can see which one we like better. Before you do, tho...

Man, that's a huge screenshot. (That's what she … nevermind.) I take it you never learned about cropping when your grandma taught you how to use image editing software. Whoa, where did all that come from? It must've been this thread — as if it awoke something in me. Something dark and snidely which ...
