Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Same is true for Delly, Argan, and Stormrider (at least it was before the update)

Re: Great Mage Again

Any person who is even considered for the title of Great Mage is quite nearly a legend in their own time, and town criers have forcibly learnt discretion in applying the title. Merit for the title is carefully considered by a council of the leading magi of the age, and the conferment of the title i...

Re: Great Mage Again

I also liked the fire aura idea (like: 2 fire damage to adjacent enemy units at the start of your turn) - seem's fitting to me. Regarding the name: I have to say, I really like the name Arch Mage and wouldn't take it away - it fits well for the people described: The leading circle of the academy and...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Not sure if that also fits what you are looking for - some people wrote quite interesting play-throughs via the forums and someone did one for LotI chapter I:

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I can remove the renaming option, but I am not sure everybody knows the option to rename the unit is still there. I, for example, had no idea there is such an option. I also suspect that it allows any name length while the option when viewing the recall list allows only a certain number of characte...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Hey Dugi my game is crashing when clicking "Unequip all items" on the first turn in the first scenario on LOTI1. Here is the error message I see. After this pops up, the unit disappears and I'm instantly defeated if it's a main character. I have fixed it earlier and committed it to github, I just h...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I would love to see item that gives loyal trait I would heavily advise against making this a craftable item. In combination with the gem vendors this could lead to some ugly interactions (or the item is so pricey that it's simply never worth to craft it). As an effect on droppable items I think thi...

Re: HttT Revised

Ah, it seems I misunderstood you - that sounds a lot more plausible. Just some more thoughts: 1) As the timeline tells us, the orcs are only placaded by tribute payment, not by defeat. This makes it quite plausible that Asheviere hires them later on. As Elensefar is not Wesnoth (also explicitly ment...

Re: HttT Revised

I've just finished going through the campaign to make sure there aren't any blunders like in the previous version, so hopefully there won't be any issues on that front. I'd still like to fiddle some more with the new stuff I added in the last scenario instead of Asheviere's ridiculous ZoC (now it's...

Re: Invasion from the Unknown 2.1.1 [Wesnoth 1.14]

Hey Shadowm, I played through most of IftU months ago and just finished the last few turns today, here is the feedback I noted, while playing through the campaign. I played on version 2.1.1, easy, on Wesnoth 1.14. On a more general note, I can say that after playing through the campaign again for th...

I can't pick up items the enemy leader drops because the scenario ends.
Those are automatically added to your inventory.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Well, if you want to see the rest of the fun part, I can later have a look if I still have a save file of the end of inferno - chapter 10 (the last one) is pretty fun again, as you start almost from scratch with only your gems for crafting and Krux and Vritra (not sure if the names are right, the ki...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

That problem is around since unequip all was first introduced (though I think there recently was a fix attempted - which might be why your workaround works at all). If you do not want to "cheat" this way, you can simply equip the units with a new item after recalling as another workaround - their st...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Disclaimer: I haven't played LotI for quite a while, though I have finished it multiple times on various versions and difficulties: 1) I'm playing it on easy now, and I'm thinking of restarting on medium for more of a challenge. I generally like to play with one of each unit type (three spearmen to ...

Re: What manner of the projection is the map of Wesnoth?

Not officially, but it seems like a reasonable assumption regardless. I was under the distinct impression that there has been as a matter of fact. In The Rise of Wesnoth, Burin the Dwarf comes to the conclusion that he travelled around the globe after meeting his people on the northern continent. W...
