Re: Legend of the Invincibles

It has been reported many times that LotI breaks in a fashion like this if played with debug mode enabled. Turn off debug mode. Never level a unit with debug activated. I think that once you get a game in this state it is pretty much broken. You need to go back to saves before it was broken or start...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Unit information is integrated with almost everything in LotI, so that would never port easily. Choose attacks for retaliation should be easy to port though ... just set weight to 0 ... what problem did you have?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I mostly play part 2, not part 1. I tend to play with a small army of 6-9 troops (plus the main characters) and the troops often feel superfluous. I like finding interesting things to do with the troops, but Efraim and Lethalia alone can kill almost everything. Additionally, I have long contended th...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Crixomix,
Soul Eater (and later Redeem) do not grant abilities themselves. They give you new options for advancements when you level normally.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

What system are you using? I don't have either of those problems on Windows using GitHub code.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Minor point - should the Alliance ring have double the drop chance since it is literally worthless by itself? Or is Alliance sufficiently powerful it should be rare? I have tons of items, but only one Alliance ring, so I haven't tried it. Suggestion - make Alliance an argument, and let some unit(s) ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Undead in part 2 are definitely a problem, but they have access to incredible armours that seriously attenuate their weaknesses. I suppose I should try using them sometime. I think undead are fine in part 1, but that makes "fixing" them in part 2 difficult. I choose not to discuss them for now. Atta...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

I think a unit must be evaluated not by overall power, but by whether it holds some clear utility/entertainment over other units. For example, I don't like the Dwarf Battlerager, but I recognize that it holds an awesome niche spot that has plenty of power when used properly. Similarly I don't like t...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

- Elfalial or whatever his name, seems to have fairly ineffective ways to fight. Philip is much better. I'd prefer if he has a good sneaky dagger attack and a good crossbow hit or so, or perhaps sword + dagger. Right now his whirlwind attack seems so much better than the rest that he has, if only d...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

- A lot of units, even though very interesting, are extremely weak when getting to the later stages of the game, fighting demons etc. While I tend to agree with your statement, I disagree with most of your examples. I typically value a unit based primarily on how much damage they can deal on the en...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Greater Healing Potion is not restoring attacks anymore. On my turn, I attack an enemy. After that fight ends, I drink Greater Healing. I used to be able to attack again, but not now. New item drop system is definitely different. In part II, I get more better items, mostly. I think I've only see a C...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

All AMLAs make the next one cost 20% more xp. Except for the main characters, who take only an 8% penalty. For example, Your level 4 needs 100 xp to level You get another 100 xp, take 'better with sword' for +1 damage with that attack. Now you need 120 xp for next level. You get another 120 xp, take...

And btw, I didn't get how Krux is improved with achieving lesser redeem aim score. Does he acquire some stats improvement or what?
Current versions of LotI will show his lesser redeem benefits in the AMLA list under "Unit Information".

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

EDIT 11: If a unit has overlapping 'heal more' advancements paths (like a healer unit with the legacy of light), whatever was chosen last is the healing ability the unit gets. So you could accidentally replace your heal +16 with a heal +11. And in general it would be cool if overlapping advancement...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

As per past experience, I've been playing this game way too much. I got into Chapter 7, only to be attacked by elves in scenario 2. They are supposed to be "allies" and previously they never moved, but now they did and they were hostile. I submitted a fix on github, but I don't understand why they d...
