I hope that helps.
Yes, really helpful! Thank you very much.
Don't expect a fix right along with 1.14.3 upgrade, but hopefully it will be ready soon.

Re: Wesnoth 1.14 on Android

There is no debug to be sent - the package downloader/intro screen doesn't show up. I just click the icon and it does nothing. I'd have asked how to find a debug message if I crashed after downloading all packages but unfortunately that isn't the case. Ok, got it. If you happen to know how to captu...

Stickied, the previous 1.12 thread is here. Also I assume the opening post should have some of the same info as the 1.12 support thread.
Thank you. I updated the opening post.

as 1.14.3 was already tagged it might make sense to skip 1.14.2 in particular as it has some known regressions from 1.14.1 like the statistics bug and the negative hp bug.
Ok, yes, I'll go for 1.14.3 which, btw, is already out. Thanks for the info.

Re: Wesnoth 1.14 on Android

Waiting for the 1.14.2. It won't take long. Anyway, google play app is now available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.alessandropira.wesnoth114 This is a brand new application, so if you have 1.12 installed on your phone don't expect it to upgrade automatically. You'll need to...

Re: Android 1.12 support thread

Hi Alep, I have a Samsung galaxy s6 running Android 7.0 and recently it's developed a problem, now whenever I try to access local play it tells me there's an "unterminated quoted string at <unknown>:5" and goes back to main menu. Re: Android 1.12 support thread

It's also worth mentioning that 1.14 may well be delayed until mid 2018, so you might be waiting awhile. It looks like the issue related to Asus Zenpad 3S has been fixed with the latest Android OS release for that device. However, I also produced a 1.13.8 (which is actually a 1.14 beta) APK which i...

Re: Android 1.12 support thread

Hi Alessandro, since I've upgraded my Asus Zenpad 3S 10 tablet to Android v7, Battle for Wesnoth v1.12 crash at startup when "Reading files & creating cache". I've tried to de-install, re-install but I still have the same issue. Have you tested your port with Android v7 ? I saw that you'll port v1....

pangy wrote:Hi, thanks for creating the port. How do I play my PC campaign saved games on my Android phone now?
If you tap on the "Change configuration" button which appears on startup and pick "Import/Export" you can import a zip of savegame files into your android BfW installation.
Hope this helps.

Re: Android 1.12 support thread

Hello, your port is working well for me, but I have performance issues due to my tablet's poor hardware and as it seems to me that current 1.13x RC iteration is loading much faster on PC I wondered whether you plan to port 1.14 to Android too once it is released? Hello. I'm planning to port 1.14, b...

Hello. I was starting to try out the 1.13 version for android, and the first run gave me a black screen. After digging out a bit I stumled upon this lines in events.cpp: // TODO: I'm uncertain if this is always safe to call at static init; maybe set in main() instead? static const boost::thread::id ...
