On Scenario 4 (Lightning Strike), if you beat all the enemy leaders, the scenario ends, without the appearance of the dragon or any of the dialogue, and then the introduction to the next scenario makes no sense. Alright, I tried moving all the saves (14000+!) elsewhere, and while then if I pressed load, it (correctly) told me I had no saved files, when I tried to open a new campaign, it crashed as before when I got to the point where it would have had the first save. It popped up a bunch of errors which may or may not be related when I initially opened Wesnoth. Upon clicking load, it just logged out. I am running macOS Sierra 10.12.6, and trying to play Wesnoth 12.6 (and I've also tried 12.5). I was loving the campaign, but on Scenario 26, Enemy at the Gates, my entire recall list was deleted, every unit except Vormund is gone, and he was back to being a Lieutenant. Ive tried various things with :debug, but they won't work; still everyone gets deleted. I am playing on Wesnoth 1.10.7.

In LotR, humans and hobbits have farms and fields but elves and orcs have none. Forests and caves are definitely not places where one can grow food and breed cattle. I'm working on the storyboard now, and throwing around ideas for how stuff will happen. but this got me thinking... one of the ideas i had was to throw in a hero people would know. I thought about having the defeat of Zhangor by Elynia and Argan, but decided that wouldn't fit with the rest of my cam...

Or, even better, what if this takes place soon after the Fall in Wesmere, during the corruption of Zhangor? It could be human or elvish gladiators enslaved by the corrupted elves, who were using the combat as a sacrifice to Zhangor.

What I like about the idea of Spartacus is that its one of the not very common cases which is a well-known story, using Wesnothian level technology, without the risk of copyright infringement.
