Hum, I've the same feeling at a moment. May become a "version 3" or a new campaign. Elven lets his campaign in free use.

Re: lua mysteries

The full language is available. Several optional, add-on libraries which come with the language are disabled. To answer the question more specifically: stick to the Lua language and avoid the use of libraries and you'll be fine. All right. I did not try to use any external library. But my problems ...

Re: lua mysteries

Most of Lua is blocked for security. What a fast reply! Well, maybe, but most of what I ask also does not seem to exist in Lua itself. And for what is supposed to exist, I cannot see any security reason for Wesnoth to prevent us to know whether a number is an int! ;-) Finally, how to know to which ...

lua mysteries

Hello Luaists, I have much programmed in Lua long ago, but my very bad memory cannot remmember anything of the details. Below a few issues I find myself unable to deal with alone: * I have searched long, also much on the lua users wiki, but there definitely seems to be nothing about directories, cha...

map of region KurLan

This is a map of the region where the story takes place, as well as my other game earler evoked, made as a Wesnoth game map! It is a kind of bigger reproduction of the area as we see it on the map of Eastern Invasion posted above. I chose this solution since I am very very bad at platic arts... KurL...

Re: The Final Exam, version 3

why that name changes? They sound too ordinary and "earthly" to me. In a fantasy context, I don't like to be brought back to boring (so-called) "reality" and less so to a specific real folk & culture as with "Johnny". Said otherwise, for me (maybe it's only me), na...

unit_worth: meaning & formula

I just discovered [unit_worth], see here. It stores in WML variables unit cost, next-cost (most costly advancement), health, xp %, and an enigmatic "unit_worth". What is its meaning and formula?
Thank you!

Re: Our Longest Year (SP campaign with two playable sides)

Interesting theory... I am on Win 7. I suppose you have the aforementioned file (with the default list of numbers and corresponding colors) data/core/team_colors.cfg (since it comes with Wesnoth)... I am not sure what I can do about it if the issue is with Wesnoth or Windows. :? By me, under a Linu...

Re: Our Longest Year (SP campaign with two playable sides)

The penalty if an allied leader dies is like I told earlier (side 1/2 skips a turn, except the leader, when Ywen/Myriel dies). (I read the post, on previous page IIRC, where you explain that better, namely the 1-turn "demoralisation".) I think this is the opposite of what should be done. ...

Re: Our Longest Year (SP campaign with two playable sides)

Are both instances wrong? I think so. "I laugh at your ridiculous accuses ." --> accusation (s) "And your pathetic accuses are just an excuse to attack us and annex our lands to the barony of your boss, aren't they?" --> I would rather use pathetic complaints : more or less syno...

Re: The Ravagers - SP campaign now for 1.14 - [Feedback and development]

Hello WhiteWolf and thank you very much for your hard work. I would like to play the whole campaign and enjoy it. But I very probably won't: I quickly reached my maximum level of annoyment and frustration. [About below text: (1) Sorry I have a very bad memory and cannot remmember names . (2) I use s...
