Re: Wograld - our graphics requirements are less demanding
Jetryl and Dave do have a point, but they also miss a point too. Games can be designed by people who are not programmers. An example in the open source community is FIFE and now PARPG which were created and managed by a non-programmer. However, he put up a lot more than a blog before putting out req...

Re: For what it's worth...
Are you going to program this yourself?
Why not start publishing this information somewhere more formal than a wesnoth forum thread?

Ok, well, any suggestions for improvement are welcome on the forum although I'm not directly responsible for the theme.
However, what I don't get about what was said above, is that it has the same number of 'lines' and 'background fills' as, well, the wesnoth forum?

I recommend you investigate existing isometric engines that will reduce the effort needed as well as consolidate development (you get the benefit of the engine developers continuing to improve the engine). I recommend FIFE, an RPG engine that uses Python: http://www.fifengine.de/ More information on...

Re: mesilliac's terrain graphics thread
I'd also note that they look more suitable for a diamond-tiled isometric game (something I'm trying to work on) than a hex-based game like Wesnoth.
