Naming of the project
Although I am kind of the lonely spammer of this topic I hope I may allowed to continue updates from time to time. This time it's about the naming process. If you want you can propose a name in this thread . We want something that is more than just "remake" and captures the spirit of the e...

Grown up quite a bit
Now it is four months since the first release and our team has grown and we have a new version of the Imperialism remake. We also have some terrain tiles artwork that we distribute. You can find it all at the download page. Mainly the map is improved with borders, provinces, nations and rivers. Now ...

Original is no longer abandonware
Above I said that the rights were scattered but it seems I was wrong because surprisingly it has been re-published today by GOG.com/Ubisoft . It is supposed to include the soundtrack as extra download and able to connect for Multiplayer-games over TCP/IP. This is a bit unexpected for me but really g...

Free Imperialism remake project
Hi, I like strategy games and programming and I am also a member of the "Imperialism remake project" (obviously there isn't a good name for it yet). I would like to introduce you to it with a few words: Imperialism 1 and 2 were turn based strategic games with tactical combat from the late ...

Re: Can i use the Wesnoth music for a nonecommercial project
I heard once that the whole project doesn't have to be under GPL if the music is under GPL. The reason is that one could regard the programm as a player for multimedia material and so having a more or less separation of the two things. It might be that you just have to make that material available f...

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad is nearly complete
That porting to mobile devices is very interesting. I would like to ask two things: [*]How much effort is it to port such a game to a mobile plattform? What percentage of the code do you have to rewrite? [*]How much is the User Interface changed? Is it simple to find replacements for each dialog? Wh...

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Just wanted to say hi and a big thanks to the developers. BfW is the greatest open source strategy game out there. I hope development will continue for a long time.

Re: Wesnoth movie plan
This would be most interesting for me. A imagine the world of Wesnoth a bit like Middleearth, without the silly ringy thing. Whenever I play BfW I expect to hear and see Rohan and Helm's Deep.AxalaraFlame wrote:...4. Focus on wars and big scenes, or personal stories like Malin or Delfador? ...

Wonderful Thread
I just read some pages of this thread and I like that you all talk about the books you are reading. I will keep coming back for inspiration. I just finished the Witcher saga after incidentally mixing the order of the books and reading a hundred pages of volume 4 before reading volume 3 without notic...

Re: [interface]Allow to set ennemies as computer
Why not having AI opponents by default, so you just select the number of players and then all except you are AI? I remember Warlords where you could choose the difficulty level of the AI from plain stupid to somewhat intelligent and there you anyway had to make one selection per player. So I also th...
