I actually find thieves to be very useful and their back stab attacks (especially at night time) can be extremely devastating, which can make them very good at finishing off units, or whittling down units for others to finish off. From what I've seen it seems to encourage unfinished games, and free games are also fine. They've let a free single player DLC free game onto steam, so I don't see why they wouldn't let a multiplayer open source game on.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at. Currently random maps are pretty impossible to play in teams properly because of the lack of spawn point info.

I'd like to claim that the real tactics and gameplay only show in singleplayer, and that campaign experts play at least just as well as the average multiplayer guy the first time they try it. :P Playing against a human opponent introduces a whole new level of psychological depth that can only ever ...

Why is it that people put so much emphasis on how good the campaigns are, when the real tactics and core game play only really shows in the multiplayer.
