Re: Editor help section
Hmm... I'm not particularly good at non-creative writing. It's a little difficult for me, as the terms you describe are not familiar to me, in that they're not really explained elsewhere, making it near-impossible to write a definition of them as I myself am not clear as to what the concepts involve...

1. (foreground terrain) This is terrain that is super-imposed upon background terrain, for example, embellishments. Toggle between background and foreground terrains with the "Swap foreground/background palette items" command. 2. (background terrain) This is the base terrain, upon which ot...

Re: Editor help section
Sorry, Max, I misunderstood the use of the button :( . As for the changes suggested, I've fiddled around with the descriptions, however, in some cases, I think the clarity might be overwhelmed by overly-precise detail; almost all the changes suggested have, however, been implemented. utili*z*e (chan...

Re: Editor help section
Sorry I named it wrong - the button is actually called "randomize tiles in selection"; it takes all the tiles that you have selected and places them at random positions across the map, not either of the above.

Re: Editor help section
I would be happy to work on these. I can't guarantee they will be done quickly, however I can guarantee that they will be done thoroughly and well. Also what do you mean by "use cases"? Does that mean a description for each type of scenario? And also, though I'm sure that this is a stupid ...

Re: Proposed Race Description For Wose
I have a couple of questions and grammatical quibbles. Firstly, you speak of the power of faerie as if it is a person. Is there a basis for that? Secondly, you say "most trained"; it is probably better English to say "best trained". Thirdly, I think the phrase "with crushing...

Re: A Song of Fire: SP Campaign Feedback and Reviews
Perhaps "decisiveness" or "decision-making" would fit the context better?

Jahin can't time travel, I think. Wasn't it a one-off occurrence? Or, if not, it probably should be.

Re: Epic fantasy and politics in Wesnoth?
Interesting... How would you do that ? More of it, I think campaigns 'A new Order' and 'Swamplings' feature both stories with political aspects. In the first one, you have a succession war for the throne, for instance. What do you think of them ? Is this what you have in mind or something else ? I ...

Re: Epic fantasy and politics in Wesnoth?
Would'nt this make a great setting for a "Game of Houses" campaign? It would. Regarding the comments about the inadequacy of Wesnoth as a medium for telling tales of great battles, politics and history, there are many large battles, and, also, there do not necessarily have to be many unit...

Re: Epic fantasy and politics in Wesnoth?
Indeed. Perhaps not a single campaign deals with politics and the " Game of Houses", the movement of Kingdoms and the rise and fall of peoples. I'd love to see such a campaign, if only I could code... Wesnoth has campaigns covering many plots and stories, but none that tell it from the per...

Epic fantasy and politics in Wesnoth?
The discussion in the HttT re-write topic piqued my curiosity - does Wesnoth have an Epic Fantasy campaign, one that deals with the higher politics and intrigue of principalities and houses? Would one be welcome? Is Wesnoth a suitable medium for such a campaign?

Re: Revising the HttT Text & Dialogue
I´m not sure that "big politics" is more suitable for HttT I'm agreed on that point. Books like the Wheel of Time, a Game of Thrones, Malazan book of the Fallen etc. can deal with that sort of stuff because they're thousands of pages long. HttT, however, is not, and in no way attempts to ...

Re: The Legend Begins (Story Development)
Thanks :D ! I will edit your version of the timeline, Knightmare, till it fits- by the way, Argea was my provisional name for Terra's Gem (not a name I like) though I rather like your use of it. By the way, make sure it is mentioned Svarballi was imbued with the power of one of the guardians(or the ...
