Re: Cartographic terrain

I really like this! While I think you meant it more for "world map" use in campaigns, I can't help but want to play on it! I think it would be super cool if there was a whole era in this style (complete with a faction for all the weird monsters that get drawn on the edges of maps). I'm no ...

Re: Sustainable Scenario

The user made add-on "Cities of the Frontier" plays sort of like an endless scenario. It has city building elements as well, but essentially it comes down to endless enemies coming to pillage the "city" you've constructed (you can "win" by collecting enough gold--you ma...

Re: Avian Faction (The faction of winged people)

Would it be possible to make the "flying" ability dependent on whether or not the avian unit attacked that turn--that is, if avian unit attacks it automatically becomes vulnerable to melee attacks and has it's movement reduced (almost as if attacking causes it to "slow" itself), ...

Re: Birth of a Knalgan Alliance (greatly unfinished!)

The orcs recruited plenty of units to pose problems, most of them simply didn't arrive before I had gotten 150 gold. Rather than increasing the orcs' income, I would suggest increasing the amount of gold required to win, decreasing the player's income, or just making it a "survive x # of turns&...

Re: Sir Galvin Scenario Development

Here are things I noticed that might be of concern to you! I played on "normal" difficulty, I found it to be fairly easy overall (but not in a bad way). On the missions where the objective is "get to location x" I would have liked it if you would have specified which specific uni...

Re: Birth of a Knalgan Alliance (greatly unfinished!)

Played the scenario on normal. It seemed pretty straightforward/easy--the villagers were easy to fight and only a few orcs arrived before I collected 150 gold. I wouldn't say it was too easy, but neither was it that challenging (I didn't lose any units, although the peasants came close to killing a ...

Re: The Gutter

I enjoyed this very much! I hope you continue to work on it! I played on hard and it was indeed challenging-the infinite thug army was difficult to hold off, but after starting over and adjusting strategy, I managed to succeed! One note--the "harrier" upgrade for dogs was unfinished-- they...

Re: The Desert Prince

On the final scenario I had Mirmane get killed (which the objectives say is a defeat condition) but I didn't lose immediately as I would usually expect to, so that might be a bug of some kind. Also, it might be nice to make a note in the description saying that 1 of the 7 scenarios is a dialogue sce...

Re: The Desert Prince

I should have just waited until I got farther to comment, since the meeting with the dragons after that mission explains the young dragons' overconfidence/reveals the more effective pale dragons! I did managed to make some use of the yellow dragon with his charge attack (although most of the undead,...

Re: The Desert Prince

I'm playing it now. I went back to look for the bonus on the second level--I don't think I would have found it without knowing to look. I suppose the village lizards that appear are kind of a hint, but I just went straight at the undead rather than exploring the map (I don't think I was in need of g...

Re: Archery Training

As a very much novice campaign I would add some explanations. (Like: watch for damage types and resistance = wose rule against trolls) I guess either way your campaign is as much WML training as archery training. Looking forward to see more from you. I agree with this idea. I think I'd like if you ...

Re: SP campaign: Galuldur's First Journey (1.8, 1.9, 1.10)

I had noticed that you said it was your first campaign earlier in the thread and I was very impressed! Hopefully the snazzier description will make it more clear that it's a full-fledged (if short) campaign and not just a "can-I -make-something-that-works-in-WML" practice run! I'm glad you...

Re: SP campaign: Galuldur's First Journey (1.8 & 1.9)

Hmm, I'll think about it. Saying something like "This campaign is excellent and you should really play it" sounds ... not quite right. ;) Haha, well obviously that exactly might not work; but I think the description currently is so short that I wasn't sure what to expect/wasn't even sure ...

Re: SP campaign: Galuldur's First Journey (1.8 & 1.9)

I just finished this campaign and it was awesome! To be honest, the simple title and description didn't have me expecting much--how pleasantly surprised I was to discover such a tightly constructed and entertaining campaign. The real success of the campaign, to me, was the size--all the scenarios fi...

Re: Ghostly Calls

1. I did not encounter any bugs (other than the AI issue that caused mages to use their melee attack against melee opponents). 2. Normal 3. Don't know WML 4. In terms of game-play, I found this campaign a little boring; I stopped after the mission in which the necromancer is resurrected (the 4th sce...
