Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

So they are now in the new development update.
This is the first time I heard of this faction, and now I see they have been in development for a while. Interesting.

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.8

Are we allowed to comment? (just delete and don't ban me if not) So what else can we expect about the new faction? Will a new wiki page be released for them? edit: I found it very odd that you gave a majority of those units a negative impact resistance. I feel like currently footpad swarm as knalgan...

Re: Wesnoth turns ten today

Heh... 10 years old? Happy 10th, Wesnoth. You're the game I can't seem to forget about, and always reinstall eventually. Such charm. ( edit: my gosh, I was curious so I looked at Dave's profile, saw that he was last on the first of December, 2013, and then his most recent post was this one. So I loo...

Re: How to play Knalgans

(sorry for bump of a very outdated thread, but I found it useful)
I especially love how the ulfseeker laughs before attacking a dark adept.

Re: You think a faction is overpowered? Come here!

Frankly I think that the regenative ability of the troll, combined with it's high mele attack and resistances, is really a bit overkill. On mountains it is Possibly the hardest unit to kill, and that's just for one. Considering that the dwarves when recruiting have no magical attacks, trolls vs dwa...

I feel a bit disappointed that the youtube links are outdated... surely the videos are floating around somewhere?

Re: So I recently started playing Wesnoth again...

To get myself back into the game, I've been doing a campaign (Delfador's Memoirs). But one thing is different - I've quit my saveloading habit cold turkey. When I lose a level 2 unit because of a stupid mistake or bad luck, I let it die instead of restarting the turn. The game is so much more fun t...

Re: Do you save and reload? If so, why?

I suppose the difference is: Learning (making different decisions that turn that you loaded so that your stupid mistakes are corrected) vs. Not learning by doing the same move over and over and expecting different results (which you will get in this game), and being frustrated forever because you ca...

Re: Do you save and reload? If so, why?

I wholeheartedly agree that saveloading doesn't make the game fun, and that playing in a "restrictive" fashion is much more enjoyable and rewarding. I don't think allowing oneself a load when something goes wrong in a completely unexpected and unacceptable way has the same effect, but if you know t...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hello. Behold, a brony has entered the forums. Anyway, my name is KShrike, and I've played this game several times, but recently it has given me a hook that which I cannot let go of. It is going to be a part of my life for a long time now, so I might as well get used to this. Back when I was experim...

Re: Do you save and reload? If so, why?

Ok, I'm new to the forum, not to the game. Here's what I have to say about save scumming. While save scumming will seem to save time and all by squeezing out RNG heaven, it doesn't actually make the game fun. It becomes a frustrating game full of constant restarts and constant losses and constant re...
