Re: Ice Age Fun and Japhel's Journey
I'm currently playing the first scenario on Normal, and why is the mammoth able to summon an unlimited number of sabers and wolves? Does it ever stop?

Re: New campaign: The three elves
Quick typo: at the end of Scenario 1, Merhil says "Do you want is?" It should be "Do you want it?" Later in the dialogue, Teddy also says "Then our onited army..." Also, I noticed the writing in general is a little loose. If you want help with the writing, feel free to ...

What was your least frustrating campaign?
Usermade or Mainline, which campaign was just a walk in the park for you? (and what difficulty!)
For me, it was Descent into Darkness. Gotta love them undead.

The Invincible Wall - Elvish Invasion Strategies
This scenario is just a bit too broad for me to handle. We have allies which are ineffective at best, no good all-around units, and enemies with basically unlimited money.
What's a good strategy in approaching this campaign? (Note: I'm playing the Medium difficulty.)

Re: Do you save and reload? If so, why?
I'm trying to save and reload less than I used to... But I'm still a beginner. There are things I overlook, and they cost me a unit. I will then save and reload until I get the kills I got on the last turn (without my own mistake). I'm not sure if that makes sense, so here's a scenario: My Knight hi...

Re: New Composition
I listened to the updated version, and am no expert -- but I do really think it could work with the large dungeon crawler maps. I know we have a lot of those in user campaigns, and I feel this fits more accurately than some of the songs they use. Also -- the ending is a bit too dramatic to be looped...

Re: "Remote Host Disconnected."
Does this happen whenever you attempt to download an add-on, or just as soon as you attempt to connect to the add-ons server? This happens when I connect to the server. Is the hostname on the dialog set to add-ons.wesnoth.org ? Can you verify that there’s nothing between you and Wesnoth.org blockin...

"Remote Host Disconnected."
I just reinstalled [stable] Wesnoth and was trying to stock up on add-ons. However, every time I try, it says Remote Host Disconnected.
I reinstalled and reopened. The download file was from sourceforge.

Re: Ebay seller is selling your game
Personally, I have little sympathy for someone who would buy a game online without researching it or knowing anything whatsoever about it; not even taking the time to simply google it. If a potential buyer from this eBay seller would do any of these things, they would quickly discover that Wesnoth ...

Re: I've read a lot already: Newb observations and questions
I actually never considered playing a different way than I do now (oops!). But I will take into consideration this possibility to play differently the next time I do a campaign. Thanks for the comments, though.

Re: Ghostly Calls
I apologize if this is a bit blunt and I'm not following your guidelines (as I have not yet finished the scenario), but have you thought about having the introductory sequence be visual? An example of this would be the beginning of the campaign Bad Moon Rising (Prologue). You don't play the characte...

Re: I've read a lot already: Newb observations and questions
2. It seems that it is best to Level up Konrad, Loyal Troops (free upkeep I'll take that!!!), Healers, Mages, and a few guys with Leadership. Leveling up into Rangers, Knights, etc. seems to be much less important because gold is better to have an overwhelming force. HTtT is a very long campaign, a...

Re: Games discussion
Just acquired and played Chrono Trigger for the first time today. :hmm: :o  I think I'm going to be putting Real Life on hold for a while. Yes! Chrono Trigger! If you have any responsibilities, beware. They won't get done. You'll be hooked onto Chrono Trigger for at least a week, maybe even ...
