Which Campaign utilizes best the modern/existing Features

Time stand not still and Wesnoth as Engine/GamePlatForm envolves and new Features get added and finally there are Campaigns, which utilize these Features in the effective Way the Player experience and play Wesnoth. I may assume there exist anyway a LearningCurve and Envelopment of Knowledge of Campa...

Re: [mainline] Cheaper recall of peasants

I support the Idea as well. I wonder that Recall doesn't work for 10 Golds like this (recall_cost = 10+lvl*10;) Recall-Costs for Lvl-1 Units are near to their "New-Prices" (Recruit-Costs) while better Levels are more cheap in Recall than as Recruits. It's strange that a re-recruited (alrea...

Re: [interface] Add a translator in to the chat?

I like the ROI of that Featuer but I refuse the Idea to use any Online-Service-Provider like Google-Data-Suck-Services to let Google always know when I'm playing Wesnoth and what I'm talking. So the Idea sounds fine but Implementation as Integration is problematical in my Eyes. If I know Wesnoth sup...

Re: LZMA2-compressed savegames

Are there any significant Constraits for Integration? I don't see any Reason against using the better Compressor and don't expect Problems with Integration. If the necessary Effort is lesser than writing a Posting I won't say anything about that Matter.

is there no slap (leader.hp-=5), kick and ban? these are essential and should be sufficient for all situtations.

Re: LZMA2-compressed savegames

Maybe we could use the Boost Lzma implementation from fusecompress ... Is their LZMA=LZMA2 ? again - they are just using an external library. that means this library would have to exist on all available platforms, work for all compilers. additional external dependencies put a heavy burden on mainta...

Re: LZMA2-compressed savegames

I Pro that Matter and refer to my Arguments written here: DataCpmpression with XZ Utils

Small Note: WinRAR is afaik able to extract Files from XZ as well afaik by treating the Archive as 7z.

Re: [interface] Select with left click. Act with right click

I would like to try that Implementation. And I don't agree with the Statement that the present Interface is fine totally. However, the better is the Enemy of the good. (I don't want to state with that what is is good nor the Opposite.) Is that new Style available as Patch or Config-Option InGame or ...

Re: Hair-Color-System like Side-Color-System

Thanks for Move, but this Topic matters also ArtWork and a changed Way top design Hair was a Point I wanted to hear Opinions of ArtWorkers. However, it's truely a Matter that fits better in Ideas. I saw anywhere a Unit that used another Color-Scheme than {TEAMCOLOR_IS_MAGENTA}. IIRC it was Green or ...

Hair-Color-System like Side-Color-System

It's perhaps useful to identify the Clone-Units but it's anyway strange that all Units from a specific Type have same HairColor. The HairColor is not sufficient to identify a Unit-Type. I prefer to have Variations in the Hair-Color of a Unit instead having a Hint by the HairColor instead that the Un...

The Map I work with a complete Map of the Wesnoth-Map you can see when the Game started in the Main-Menu. Do you advice me I should map that on 40x40 Map?

Re: [mainline]/[UMC] Appointing/Recruiting Leaders

Don't you know Ned? It's the Wesnothian's term for the invisible guardian of random maps. More of a presence than a person, to be precise. He is actually a bit of annoyance, to be honest. Ned is often blamed for lumping huge amounts of contigous terrain together or extending the boundaries of a map...

Re: village support?

I think Village-support is a Step into right Direction -- even it could still not work. Gold can't get eaten and doesn't work. If I got the Point then is Village-Support something like a Gold you can't accumulate but use to pay something like OperationCosts for Units.
