Re: Alariel's Journey: A Faerie Tale 1.0.1 (SP for 1.12)
I played this campaign over the weekend and I liked it very much. Here is some feedback: - artwork and maps are excellent - I liked the characters, especially that Alariel is a classic heroine of the good side - the story is OK and the humor was great. Maybe the development of the relationship betwe...

Re: Wesnoth 1.12.0
Good thing to see that BfW is a alive und thriving.
I salute all contributors to this release.
I already played several games against the AI and I like it. The new interface is better than the old one and the "Strong AI" really seems stronger - at least to me.

Re: Possible to turn of the highlighting of the best attack?
OK, thanks for the information. You both are right, but to me learning about the units and their weapons is part of the fun. If the preselection and the damage calculation isn't possible, you are forced to keep more things in mind and calculate the probabilities yourself. This is just personal taste...

Re: Possible to turn of the highlighting of the best attack?
I realize that and know how the system works. What I try to accomplish is to add the challenge of deciding what attack to use without any hints by the game. Like I said, this is just for me, I'm not complaining or want to change the standard of BfW. I was hoping for debug command or a starting param...

Re: Possible to turn of the highlighting of the best attack?
You are right for the button, but in the screen before the attack with the best chances is already selected when it opens. See the attached picture. The witch-fire attack is selected by the game, because it has the best chance. That is the point I would like to be able to control.

Possible to turn of the highlighting of the best attack?
When attacking an enemy, you get that little screen where you can choose what weapon should be used. For every option, you can hit the button "damage calculation" and the attack with best chances is highlighted. Is it possible to turn that highlighting as well as the button of, maybe with ...

Re: County of Beichlingen update: Version 0.6.3
Tiny update! Hopefully fulfill the translations requirements now. Also, I made a coat of arms for the Counts of Beichlingen. COB-Beichlingen-Wappen.png It is derived from the Wesnoth coat of arms and from the one of the real "von Beichlingen" noble family: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beic...

Re: County of Beichlingen update: Version 0.6.1
Thanks for the input everyone! Version 0.6.2 is out, only one improvement interesting for players: MRDNRAs comment gave me an idea. For long-time encouragement, I added a statistic-feature. Currently only defeats and victories are counted. statistic.jpg Espreon, thanks for pointing out the errors, a...

Re: A New Order
I really liked the campaign and want to thank you for the work you put into it and the fun I had. In my opinion it is of really high quality in all aspects. Story telling, unit design, characters, maps, scenarios - all top! I played it three or four months ago so my memory about details is already a...

Re: County of Beichlingen update: Version 0.6.1
COB.jpg Alright! After a longer break here comes a huge update! I designated it Version 0.6.1: - the player controls only one side now, but the leaders of this side have different recruitment lists. That makes the gameplay a lot more smooth. - there are 11 maps (one is a random generated map, so te...

Re: County of Beichlingen
Unfortunately I have very little time for BfW, however I managed to do a small update: - Player controls only 1 side now, but the leaders of this side have different recruitment lists. They have the same recalllist for now, I want to separate them, but that is a future task. - changed the scenarios ...

Re: County of Beichlingen
Thanks for the input. To be honest I'm kind of annoyed by the two-side-system myself, not because of performance but because of the management-issues in game, sometimes units from your other side get in the way and it requires extra planning to coordinate them. However I really want different recrui...

County of Beichlingen update: Version 0.6.3
The campaign is tested in Battle for Wesnoth 1.10.1 and has currently 11 maps with more than 20 playable scenarios. It is fully playable, however balancing and difficulty may be off. Newest version can be found here: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=36597&p=531910#p531910 ---- O...

Re: Development packages for openSUSE & Fedora
Cool!
Thanks for putting this online, I never have the time or motivation to compile a game from source. But thanks to you I can finally play the mysterious wesnoth 1.9.
