Re: homunculus's two pixels

yes that's probably a more fair description. As far as a clam, I don't know the mouth itself would even be involved in combat. Maybe I'm wrong but after looking at photos and so on I wouldn't think a clam's mouth would have any particular strength or power. I'd think it more likely to just be the ma...

Re: homunculus's two pixels

I see what you were going for. I think typically in illustration we (the viewer) expect to see something more like these idealized, non realistic clams: http://torrrmund.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/giant-clam2.jpg?w=300&h=297 http://rlv.zcache.com/happy_giant_clam_mug-p168055715834992074enw9p_40...

Re: homunculus's two pixels

I'm guessing the flexible bit in the middle is supposed to be, in a manner of speaking, the "mouth" (such as clams have one). it seems like it should extend farther toward the sides to me. the shape definitely looks more appropriate now though, did good on that. TC could be spots or stripe...

Re: ITS TIME FOR FRANKENSPRITES

why am I horribly tempted to put the bottom red head, on the 4th chest in the left column, with the 3rd legs in the 3rd column, and the staff with the flower on it?
:D

Uhhh nevermind that. But nicely done!!

Re: Zerovirus's Art

The green text on the grey-green background on your tutorial is very nearly impossible to read.

Re: homunculus's two pixels

I think you misunderstood me, the downward points are fine, it just looks like the upward curves are nearly pointed also. I'm assuming lighting is from the upper right.

Re: homunculus's two pixels

The edge looks a little sharp. If you look up giant sea clams, as opposed to the smaller varieties that fit easily in your hand, you will see they mostly have a thick fleshy edge to the shell. (and can often be some very amazing colors inside as well as out!) The scallops also look a little too stee...

Re: DWLlama arts and stuff

Made a few adjustments to shading and outline especially in the antlers. Also a new shadow, albeit one I am not any more happy with than the last one. (if nothing else I guess I updated it to more accurately reflect my light source.) not sure how much more I will mess with the antlers, because 1) th...

Re: DWLlama arts and stuff

As for the coordinate axis, the antlers look great, except the tips of the first horns right on top of the head are still not aligned with the rest. Edit: another look at it, both the spot where the antlers start on the top of the head and the first horns are in side perspective. I couldn't relocat...

Re: DWLlama arts and stuff

I've no idea whatsoever what you are referring to by "young warthog graphics" unless you are just teasing about the proportions of my deer. Anyway I put another hour or so into reworking the heck out of it tonight. I tried with light from the top right and it just didn't look right, search...

Re: Zero Changed The Thread's Title Because Zigg Told Him To

more moonlight on the right side of the structure to increase the contrast compared to the dimly lit left side would probably help fix the problem shinobody mentioned. both sides of the cliffs meet the water directly at the horizon. its not totally bad, but you may want to try mixing it up a little....
