Re: The Ice Age/Ice Age Fun
I almost didn't play this scenario because of the blue saurians in the icon. I hate saurians: they're always coming at you from nowhere and they always bring poison. That's so unfair. But I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I love your sense of humour. I loved the giant lava pit pointing to Madoc, a...

Re: Scenario Review: (UTBS) 2. Across the Harsh Sands
(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? Easy, 1.8.5, Linux (Pardus 2011). (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 8 I'm new to this type of game, usually preferring the point and click adventure games such as Myst. Wesnoth is my first game of this ty...

Re: Fate of a Princess
I have never tested the way you played, but it sounds good enough to end up the scenario. Yes, we don't normally think of the shamans as fighters; but, when you get a bunch of them ganging up on a lone unit, they can kill him just as dead as anyone else. And I rather enjoyed sending in a bunch of d...

Re: Fate of a Princess
You might need a few drakes to support Ameck/Alingwen on the NORMAL I used a phalanx of fairy princesses and shydes for this. I had over recruited shamans in earlier scenarios and was beginning to regret it. But they came in handy in this scenario. I sent Shoko and a few shydes/princesses to knock ...

Re: Horse Monsters in Fate of a Princess
I've been so busy finishing this campaign (and following the news from Japan) that I hadn't noticed someone had replied. All in all, I found this a very enjoyable campaign. I quite like the variety and types of units, as well as the twists and turns in the plot. Thank you. It would be nice if in som...

Horse Monsters in Fate of a Princess
I'm wondering if there's any advantage in keeping alive one of those horse monsters in the first scenario. Maybe we can capture one in another scenario or they run into an ally later on or we can recruit them later? They don't do anything except stand there and be slaughtered, which is really nice f...

Re: Mouse Issue for Mobility Impaired Gamer
Assuming that your mobility issue allow you this, here are 2 possible tricks which may help you: - in Wesnoth menus, you can select item with a right click. Cool! That should work. This is useful for your problem because the right button don't do the double-click thing. I did not know that about mi...

Mouse Issue for Mobility Impaired Gamer
Battle for Wesnoth 1.8.5 Pardus Linux 2011 HP Pavillion Slimline 7700s I've been having minor mouse issues with this computer, spanning all operating systems (Vista and Linux) and persisting through mouse replacements - which leads me to believe it is a matter of the mouse connector. They are minor ...

Don't forget to bring along one merperson for the bonus. It'll take about 15-20 rounds till you figure out what he's for.
