First was C. Have since branched out into Haskell, Lua, and Assembly.

I use C/Assembly for driver/kernel development.
I use Haskell for linux scripting and web development (via snap.)
And Lua for game development (via love2d.)

I posted a similar question awhile back , and since then have decided to focus on Lua, Haskell, and more recently, Assembly and C. Haskell is the king of functional programming, really, which imo is really good practice. It'll make you a better programmer even if you don't plan on using it that ofte...

sorry don't have a save or anything. Happened on latest stable version, on a level 1 scenario involving underground dwarves, don't remember anything about how much gold.

also in the beginning of each battle as a defeat condition it says if either player dies, yet I still won when I was able to kill the enemy while my companion having died earlier

when one of my leaders died I got an error although I'm not sure what was affected by it.

if you guys are nubs in linux you should be using a distro with more fleshed out repositories .

I'd recommend linux mint / archbang, depending on your tastes.
