Re: South of Wesnoth?

I will certainly have a good look in the morning when my eyes dont hurt and I have a real screen to look at it with, not an iPod screen. I'll admit that due to certain, unforeseeable, problems I have seen my campaign's development come to a halt.....

Re: South of Wesnoth?

I just didn't want you to hurry at it if you had anything else you were doing atm... I can always change up my story to fit the map actually. Same with my maps. Though, I can already see the EXACT location of the palace on that map (leading from your southern most forest to the river ford of the sec...

Re: Getting 'on-par' with the Wesnothian standard of writing

So I have to make my writing seem clearer and more straightforward? So like this perhaps, using the Loyalist Spearman: Spearmen are the rank and file of the Wesnothian army. Versatile enough to throw ranged attacks and hold their own in close quarter combat, generals in a pinch can recruit them for ...

Re: What was your first Programming Language

First language I attempted anything in was probably python
First actually made program was in scheme (and boy how I was glad to move on)
First game, and essentially completely original program was C#. I may never move from any of the C family... grown too attached *tear of joy*

Re: South of Wesnoth?

*Looks back* Oh oh oh oh, I can't use it now!

No prob, I have a long ways yet before its even ready to be coded, so you definitely do not have to hurry. I am patient, I would like to think....

Getting 'on-par' with the Wesnothian standard of writing?

It has become apparent that my writing has declined since my departure from school. Aside from being personally sad about this (I generally take pride in being a somewhat literate person) I seek to improve myself. So here is a couple samples of what I currently have (tried) to write. This was for St...

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

Whew, than I am off the hook! .... I don't like feeling like the newbie, even when I am the newbie.... yeah.... EDIT: so that this is still on topic... I have the human unit tree for the dragservion done, their descriptions of course. They for some reason sound like a fanatical sect of religious fre...

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

Wesfreak, are you talking to StDrake, or are you referring to my (painfully poor) animation attempt? I only ask because I see no other animation attempts within this thread or the UMC.... I could be wrong though, as I usually am

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

I'll do my best! I actually was doing a roleplay and it came down to needing a bestiary for the sake of newcomers, so at least I have a little experience. I'll write them out and post back once I have them done.

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

So its safe to say, from an American perspective, of course, that the imps are for all accounts, a slightly more organized gang? As for the dragservion, I do think that I understand what you mean, they aren't so good as they are bad, correct? So, say a dude is walking down the road at any one given ...

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

Oooh, writing! Now *that's* what I am good at! :D So the imps are not much more than a loosely defined army of like-minded individuals who have no real training whatsoever, and by like-minded I mean mindlessly brainwashed into thinking they serve a greater good? Sounds a lot like a loosely organized...

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

Yeah, the legs just kill me (hence why I said not to shoot me, I already did).

After a good night's rest I am going to scratch the anim completely and try it again... I wonder if tsi or Zero had this much trouble starting out..... :lol2:

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

Sorry your shotgun doesn't get a good using.. As for the animation, that is exactly what I was trying to do, I guess I could tweak it and then see the end result? Like I said, second attempt at animation... and I sucked horribly, like a true noob  EDIT: Do these look any better? I added more mo...

Re: [era]Beyond Southern Hells - available at last

I come bearing.... animations.... I have no clue if they'll be of any use, but I did a melee animation of plaincat1... because I could not sleep and was bored.

EDIT: I suck at sprites, and this is my second attempt at animation, so please, don't shoot me....
