So i'm answering myself, it actually appears to work now (must be the cache?). Still, the {DROPS ..} line needs to be tuned to actual scenario (enemy sides, drop rates) and also LotI utils/global_events.cfg needs to be hacked if player sides are not in 1-5 (ie, Top_Scrolling_Wesnoth_120 player sides...

It would allow you to use a huge range attack that could be used to attack two enemies quite far from each other for little cost. Furthermore, it doesn't discriminate between weak enemies that will be killed fast, enemies who take almost no damage due to their resistances or harmless targets you do...

I feel all AOE AMLA's were created without penalties in mind and some 'Great enchancements' and now are no longer that great nor enhancements but more 'situational skills' that you want to use once in a while and not to be in a way all the time. #AoE I agree that Lethalia's Faerie Fire could have an explosive and a non-explosive version. But in most cases, a non-explosive version would be useless and filling up the attack list annoyingly. Regarding whirlwind / explosive penalty Situation: i'm back to play some of LotI chapter 2 with a savegame from older version of LotI... @rytas I suppose it's due to allies wanting the highest leadership. If the code does not distinguish between ally and enemy, enemies will also get the highest leadership, which is the least negative and the worst for us. i find campaign concept very fresh and nicely executed.

Actually its maybe the first time (apart from LOTI) i have felt good playing undead side in a campaign ;)

p.s. the length of campaign i'd say asks for expansion or otherwise - more gem drops ;)

What would be the reason of Gladiators multiplayer finishing the scenario without spawning a single enemy?

as in: choose character, get the item, 'End Turn' - 'Victory: You have emerged victorious!'

It would seem more logical if enemies could wear the items they drop later and some have random additional abilities. I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement such a system.
