Anyone interested in a Linux dedicated server?

I have a server I am wanting to donate to someone who would like a dedicated server of their own. It includes a full set of community software and I normally charge $14/month for this but I am offering this server for free. You can PM me if you have any questions you want answered. To get it go to h...

New tools to make running Wesnoth MP server easier

Hello! I have been a member here since 2010 and was one developer of the iPad version of Wesnoth back in the day. I am now back in the scene and have some tools to make running the Wesnoth MP server easier. For example it lets you start the server at boot time, and restarts it if it should crash. I ...

That is a great overview but I don't see anything that says that could be the source of the caching I am seeing...

Frustrating text & graphics caching (iOS port)

I am having trouble with text descriptions appearing in the old style even though all the files in the tree have only the new text data. For example, I am editing the tutorial campaign and have put in new text but only the original text appears. I've done a recursive grep on the whole source tree an...

Need a new team-member for iPad version - Will Pay $150

I've had one of my team members back out of development for my Wesnoth extension, which is going to put our project behind schedule, so I am looking for a new member to take his place. The modification in question is a integration with Urban Airship in-app purchase for our iPad (steampunk) fork of W...

Re: How is the iOS port doing it's mp3->ogg conversion?

I think I have this resolved - looking at the code and the files in the distribution it seems that it does not convert anything. Rather it allows foo.mp3 to be used for foo.ogg so that all scenarios work but you have the option to replace them with .mp3 files. Why? One of his notes suggested that th...

How is the iOS port doing it's mp3->ogg conversion?

I am replacing the music files with my own, and I wanted to see how it is doing the mp3->ogg conversion to make sure I have the files in the best possible conversion quality/size tradeoff. I looked for "lame" and "afconvert" and didn't come up with anything...

Please help!

Re: How to compile Wesnoth for iPhone/iPad

That worked for me too! Great going! Now if I could just figure out why the old loading pvrtc files are displaying even though I replaced all of them I would be all set. Probably another cache issue...

Re: How to compile Wesnoth for iPhone/iPad

After adding the file from the Mac version (default.cfg) my build now displays the p[roper resolution in the game, but the background textures are not being drawn. Instead it just leaves everything that appeared on it until something else overwrites it. Here is what I mean: screen-now.png Can someon...

How to configure a server-only installation..

I have wesnothd compiled and running on my hosting server, which I did by compiling it on my local machine and then just FTPing the wesnothd server up to the hosting server. I have no GUI on this machine, and I connect with it via a local client. Hopw do I install campaigns/levels for people to choo...

Re: How to compile Wesnoth for iPhone/iPad

Thanks for your effort! I was going to pay someone to upgrade my copy to the latest OpenFeint, but with your help I didn't need too. I copied the project file out of your tar.gz file and now I compile with no errors. I do have to use the "debug" target instead of the "release" target, so can you tel...

Does wesnothd do this? Compaignd?

I am trying to set up a MP server for my Wesnoth builds but I am having some troubles. I wanted to ask therefore if when I do get the build issues straightened out, with wesnothd support the add-ons as well? Or is there another server process that handles that? My build is going to be separate from ...
