Re: Art for Wose Faction
I already have, I just did the skew for an idea of what it may look like.
Oh, and here is my attempt at improving the death animation.

Re: Art for Wose Faction
Oh, you mean around a vertical axis. I picture him closing his eyes and shaking his head like a lion shakes his mane. Like I said before, those were just quick skewings of the image and I had planed to keep the feet still and shake his leaves.

Re: Wose Faction
I was thinking the fallen leaves would cover the shadow of the still falling ones, but I guess I will darken the lower leaves.
How many more frames do you think it should take the leaves to fall?

Re: Wose Faction
I'll see if I can whip up some code for the shrub. [unit_type] id=shrub name= _ "Hedgewitch" race=wose image=units/woses/wose-shrub.png profile="" # Could we just use the main shrub image or do you want something # fancier? {MAGENTA_IS_THE_TEAM_COLOR} # not that we have any TC on...

Re: Art for Wose Faction
I actually have already toyed with a shaking animation, but was thinking it could be an alternate idle thing. I like your idea better though. I still need to touch these up, they are practically my first png images. The shake animations are currently just a skewing of the image, but I'm going to mes...

Re: Art for Wose Faction
Oh, now I see why Phyreprooph doubleposted so much. Here is a concept sprite for the death animation. P.S I am thinking maybe there should even be a final animation where the leaves are falling/piled on the ground. These sprites are just quick frankensteins, I'm sure you could touch them up if you d...

Re: Wose Faction
For some reason the shrub makes me think hedgewitch. Anyone share the idea that the shrub could be the low-level shaman?

Re: NX-RPG mp campaign ideas
What kind of contact are you going to have with orcs and dwarves? Will the dwarves be your friends? Or your friends if you pay them enough? Perhaps you can hire them as mercenaries.

Re: NX-RPG mp campaign ideas
and infect one with an undead poison, causing him to fight against his friends, and open the Gate What kind of thing are you going to do with that? It has potential to make the game interesting. Are you perhaps going to make it so that when a character dies, he switches sides? Or maybe one characte...

Re: Did you finish your first game?
I know what you mean Joram, I still have hopes of finishing my one php/html text-adventure someday. Perhaps I will get back to it after I finish Jailbreak or the Dungeonmaster Era, but I to want to achieve competence in Java before I get to college.
Oh and thanks to Shadowmaster for the poll.

Re: What was your first Programming Language
Wow, I forgot to post my own response.
I first learned some BASIC from an old computer.
First language I did stuff with was HTML/PHP (with scattered attempts at Java/Visual Basic)
First language I really did stuff in was WML

Did you finish your first game?
Did you finish the first game you tried to make? I know from my own and my friends' experiences that beginning programmers like to bite off more than they can chew. The first games that we tried to make ended up being too hard for us and we either didn't finish them or came back several years later ...

What was your first Programming Language
No this is not the same as the "what is your favorite language" topic.
Regardless of which language you think is the best, I am curious what the first one was that you tried to learn, and what one you first learned "extensively" as in which did you first make a program/game in.
