However, it seems to me that there is a distinction between destroying “without question” and going too far out of their way to destroy. They also have far more pressing concerns at hand, as I seem to remember a few characters are wont to remind the others when they decide to pursue the side quests...

The MiE era's vampires have custom drains and plagues abilities which filter by race - their plague affects humans and elves only, and they take damage from drinking dwarven blood. But it currently filters only on the MiE and core races, and doesn't know about Ageless' many elf and dwarf variants.

Split the problem in to smaller ones - put a [message] in the event, and check that the event triggers. Are you sure the event in the later scenario is triggering? It has name=harlarvar , but I'd expect name=start or name=turn 1 . BTW, you don't need conditional code, you can just store an array of units in a variable with [store_unit] and unstore them in a later scenario, which means you only need to...
