Re: The Black Cross of Aleron (formerly Besieged Druids)

However, it seems to me that there is a distinction between destroying “without question” and going too far out of their way to destroy. They also have far more pressing concerns at hand, as I seem to remember a few characters are wont to remind the others when they decide to pursue the side quests...

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.21

A collection of confusing facts: In mainline: 1.14's UtBS has diverged heavily from 1.12, the 1.14 UtBS Quenoth Elves are a different set of elves than 1.12 UtBS' Desert Elves. In AE: it seems there are already two versions of the Desert Elves in AE - one in units/misc_units/desert-elves and one (th...

Re: Galactic Empires (MP Sci-fi Scenario)

This is in GE 3.2.0, and looks like it might cause the UI to change behaviour in other multiplayer games (the core version doesn't have check_fogged=false ). warning preprocessor: Redefining macro SCROLL_TO without explicit #undef at ~add-ons/Galactic_Empires/./files/misc_macros.cfg:194 included fro...

Re: Question about the moderation of addons

Depending on which fantasy story, you might also need to consider rule 2 (you can't use trademarked characters).

Re: Quality of the add-on campaigns

Can I ask which version, platform and screen resolution you're playing on? At least for the desktop platforms with large screen sizes, filtering by type and sorting by date are at the top of the screen in the add-ons screen. Also in the same add-ons screen (again possibly depending on version, platf...

Re: timeline problem (Black-Eye Karun)

Nicely spotted, but are you playing with Wesnoth 1.14.1? There was discussion in https://r.wesnoth.org/t46460 which resulted in the timelines in the campaign being moved by 10 years, and that update first appeared in Wesnoth 1.14.2. BTW, if you're using a version before 1.14.4 then there's a known s...

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.21

The MiE era's vampires have custom drains and plagues abilities which filter by race - their plague affects humans and elves only, and they take damage from drinking dwarven blood. But it currently filters only on the MiE and core races, and doesn't know about Ageless' many elf and dwarf variants.

Has there even been a decision that the world is a globe? The dunefolk origins thread didn't seem to be certain on that.

Re: Spawning a unit in 2 scenarios later based on a choice

Split the problem in to smaller ones - put a [message] in the event, and check that the event triggers. Then put some debugging in to the message, or use an [inspect] tag, to check the values of the variables just before it fails. They don't need to be owned by side 1 to be stored in a variable (alt...

Re: Spawning a unit in 2 scenarios later based on a choice

Are you sure the event in the later scenario is triggering? It has name=harlarvar , but I'd expect name=start or name=turn 1 . BTW, you don't need conditional code, you can just store an array of units in a variable with [store_unit] and unstore them in a later scenario, which means you only need to...

Re: how to regenerate(ability regenerate) by percentage with respect to hitpoints?

There's a 1.12-compatible event-based regen in SXC https://github.com/TeamSurvivalXtreme/SXCollection/blob/417e5a1eea31caaa3dfa0bec62fa610d1cf0d171/macros/SXC_abilities.cfg#L236 (note that it needs everything down to line 312, and the in SXC the units often have 700 hp so if it accidentally regens 8...

The list of completed campaigns is stored in the preferences file, as are the lists of units and terrains that you've discovered.

Re: I can't compile old-version Wesnoth

For apt-based distros, there's http://snapshot.debian.org/ which has prebuilt binaries. http://snapshot.debian.org/package/wesnoth/ has 0.8.11 and up to 1.7.14 During the 1.7 series, the source package naming changed to allow multiple versions (so it's http://snapshot.debian.org/package/wesnoth-1.8/...
