Re: iOS support thread
I'm not sure if I understand what you mean in the second one. That sounds like the way Wesnoth works. What is a "map overview"? Can you give an example from another game? Maybe it's something worth adding to mainline Wesnoth. I mean that when you tap the map in the top right-hand corner o...

Re: iOS support thread
Hi, I downloaded the iWesnoth app last night, and it wasn't working well, so I updated my iOS and it's still not working. I've got an iPhone 5s running iOs 11.31.1 I started a local game - Caves of the Basilisk. Here are the problems I've encountered so far: Next Unit button doesn't work. I press it...

Thanks for the information. It's good to know I haven't missed anything. I'm really enjoying the campaign.

Re: Invasion from the Unknown: two questions
I hope so. I spent about 30 rounds trying to find a way in.

Invasion from the Unknown: two questions
Hi, I've looked for this topic elsewhere, but I can't find the answers I'm looking for. I'm playing Invasion from the Unknown on my iPhone, and in the scenario, Under the Sands, there seems to be a hidden area in the extreme southeast. Can anyone tell me how to unlock this area, and what's in there?...

Re: iPhone port, Episode 3
Is this on-topic? I've lost the thread a bit...
I've found Wesnoth crashes if I try to use the map while it's playing enemy moves.
Not a big problem: I've learned to be patient and wait till it finishes, but still a bit of a bug, especially as you have to revert to the last version saved.

Re: iPhone port, Episode 3
Mine is working fine. Sorry.
On first look, I love the new menu. So much clearer and easier to select from with big fat fingers like mine.

Re: iPhone port, Episode 3
I'm back. Signposts. I can't see them. I got right to the end of Cliffs of Thoria - 28 turns of yetis and trolls - and ran out of time trying to find the damn signpost. Are they supposed to be so hard to find? Also - lawful/chaotic labels on units are really essential. Hope you will include that in ...

Re: iPhone port, Episode 3
OK, I've got one:
In the Scepter of Fire, Konrad died when the molten lava expanded, ending the scenario. But there was no animation or text explaining what had happened, so I got all confused.

Re: iPhone port, Episode 3
Just a quick update: I posted on this forum a few times to slag off the original version of Wesnoth for the iphone, so it's only fair if I come back and say how brilliant I think the game is, now that Kyle has released the new version. There are a few little problems still, but I'm obsessed with the...

Re: The official iPhone port thread
Me again. Wesnoth is still not working on my iPhone. I've tried all the tricks and tips suggested by Kyle and others, and still it crashes at the end of a scenario. Maybe v3 will fix that, I don't know, but I am starting to lose my enthusiasm for an app I paid for, which clearly wasn't tested proper...

Re: The official iPhone port thread
Thanks for your reply, JKT. I actually got things back on track using the old-fashioned technique of trying the same thing over and over again. Eventually I got an autosave for the next level that wasn't corrupt. I hope it will be easier next time. If it goes wrong again, I'll add your suggestions t...

Re: The official iPhone port thread
I know this problem has been mentioned before, but I've searched this forum for some hours, and tried all the remedies suggested, with no effect. I have an iPhone 3GS with LOADS of free memory. I downloaded the Wesnoth free app, then the full Wesnoth for £2.99, just a couple of days ago. I'm having ...
