Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units
Hi there! Really love what you've been doing here, been reading through this thread, and your artwork is consistently awesome! Regarding the shieldbreaker line, if I may offer some critique, I see a few (albeit nitpicky) things that could be improved for the lvl 1: The left (our left) leg is proport...

Re: Rebooting the Art Department
I'm still around too (on a regular basis, though mostly lurking), but like tsi, life has kept me pretty occupied for the last two years or so. I do plan on returning to active Wesnoth art development eventually (probably over the coming summer if possible), and I really want to animate the new rogue...

Re: Loyalists
Wow, very nice work with this! If I could make one critique, I'd suggest making the swing path even more exaggerated. Right now I get the impression that the sword is shortened during the middle of the swing (when it would make contact with the target), so I'd suggest taking the swing further away f...

Re: Going back to the old Dummy image.
I'd avoid an underhand swing, simply because you'd never be able to generate enough momentum to actually cause any significant damage that way. Essentially, you'd be working against gravity instead of with it, which would severely lessen the impact of the blow. Think of a yo-yo: swinging it like a p...

Re: Spaghetti code edorsement?
So what I'm getting out of this is that there's some disagreement concerning the current organization philosophy used for WML in UtBS. There are some nitpicks I have with the organization myself, but a lot of the current "problems" may be at least partially due to the campaign's pre-mainli...

Say, that model looks pretty darn impressive! Is this a 100% personal project, or are you teaming up with someone else to make this game?

No problem, I removed the other post for you. :) For future reference, unless someone else has posted after you in the same thread, you can delete your posts yourself (the exact placement of the 'delete' button may var...

i don't like ruvio's sprite, but the rest is great. It might be helpful if you said exactly why you don't like ruvio's sprite, because then szopen would know what could be improved to make the sprite better. For me, Ruvio's face is a bit unreadable because of his beard and hair. Perhaps comb...

Re: General tip: Consider not drawing eyes
Well, at least we all seem to agree that eyes > no eyes. You can knock yourself out debating the pros and cons of different approaches to drawing eyes in pixel art, but ultimately any position on the matter will be an entirely subjective personal preference. The eyes will not be changed on mainline ...

"It is published under cc." how about you read what artisticdude said? Yes, like I've already pointed out: Creative Commons isn't a particular license, it's a category of related licenses. You can't license anything under the cc license, because there is no such thing as the cc license. C...

Re: General tip: Consider not drawing eyes
So wait, now we've gone from no eyes to empty eye sockets...? :? Just slap a pair of eyeballs in those suckers and there won't be any disagreement anymore. :P I mean, like Deciton_Reven pointed out above, if you've got room to draw eye sockets, why not just go the whole way and draw the eyeballs whi...

Re: Technical Questions related to open source software and
What is CC 3.0 (Creative Common License)? Does it relate to the software license of Wesnoth? Creative Commons isn't a particular license, it's a group of related licenses . Also, the Creative Commons licenses aren't usually used as software licenses, and were never intended be used as such. Rather,...

Re: Bye bye Windows
It seems to me that laptops, and especially HP ones, are designed for the OS they came with. You aren't supposed to throw it away and install something else, no no. Mobile computers are use-it-a-few-years-and-then-when-it's-broken-buy-a-new-one gear. You should probably more blame HP than Microsoft...

Re: General tip: Consider not drawing eyes
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'm posting this comparison here for the sake of posterity. Nothing was modified except the eyes, which were replaced by pixels whose values match those of the pixels surrounding the eyes. I shall leave it as an exercise for the individual to determin...
