Re: thanks for making wesnoth!
I've been playing for a month or so. I really did not expect turn based strategy games to be so fun. That's why I was very hesitant on downloading it (even though it is a small download after all). Many Linux users (like me) recommended it to me.

Why the name???
Has it ever dawned on anyone that Wesnoth is very similar to West North, and in fact should be Nothwes, because 'West North' doesn't exist, but 'North West' does.
I am dissapoint.

Help me get better at sprite art!
Well, I need to improve my sprite art (as a hobby). I will start off with recoloring and 100% Frankensteins (and a bit of hand drawn fixes) and move on to partial Frankensteins. I've started and I made some sort of snow/front/ice crawler. Next week, I'll try make a frankie... any critique (even mean...

Re: Work for a [very] amateur sprite artist
After coming back after a couple of hours, I realized that skull on the goblin's spear is awkward and a bit blurred... and is he holding that torch a bit weirdly?

I agree with midnight carnival's idea. Maybe they had to adopt such harsh ways of living and superstitious beliefs

Re: Drakes - some thoughts on Drake society, biologie and origin
I like your idea, tsr. I reckon some lines should be males, and some should be female, but both are sentient. Most bigger animals are social. Which gender hunts or does the common work varies- for example lionesses hunt while their male counterpart is a breeding machine (which also protects the othe...

Re: Drakes - some thoughts on Drake society, biologie and origin
Why does sophistication have to include sentience in one gender? Just because we feel that that is sophistication, does not mean it is the ONLY form of sophistication. What I meant is that they should be social beings. But then again, reptiles have limited emotions relative to birds and mammals. Pe...

I learnt the importance of retreating
after losing several of my hardest games, I tried a different/smarter strategy: go defensive when you can't win at the time! Many people have said that to me, yet I've never followed it. This time I did and I was successful!

Re: Drakes - some thoughts on Drake society, biologie and origin
or we could have a single female queen who pumps out babies like ants
but I like the idea of sentient females better; drakes should be sophisticated beings

Now that we've cleared the up flying issue, it's time I contributed to the one about females
