Re: Tactics Puzzles (for 1.12/1.14)

I played this campaign, and I must give you my compliments for making something totally different from the usual Wesnoth! The only puzzle where I really had to use the vague hint was the 7th, which also required me a reset when the Whelp leveled to a Troll instead of a Rocklobber. Anyway, I enjoyed ...

Thanks to soliton's effort, the content of the 1.7 server has been restored and can be accessed here: http://add-ons.wesnoth.org/1.7/

Re: Abandoned Add-ons - Need Maintainers - Open to Anyone

If you're interested, I retrieved from my backups a copy of the content of the 1.7 add-ons server which I made just a few hours before it was shut down. It even includes the web interface page with all the add-ons listed. If you want to get it, I've uploaded it here: https://transfer.sh/OISy/1.7_add...

Re: Need Some People To Make A Campaign

@sergey here is the reason why: https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=50344 About that... There's no need to have a rooted Android device. You need to have a file manager that can show hidden folders ( .wesnoth1.14 is hidden, because of the leading dot) and a text editor that shows hidden...

Re: Unoffficial torrent for Battle for Wesnoth

To continue download later. Which can be done by using any download manager: wget, JDownloader, Free Download Manager... Torrents also have the advantage that one server going down doesn't make the file(s) unaccessable... Actually, Sourceforge has several mirrors all around the world. One of them g...

Re: Potentially stolen artwork from Battle for Wesnoth in steam game

I actually downloaded the Linux client from www.denizenseven.com and unpacked it. Without running it, I found a file called GrandStrategyClient-0.9.35-Release.jar inside of it; unpacking that one as well, I found a readme.txt with the following content: The SGX libgdx theme in the game is the work o...

Re: The Three Sisters Saga (SP campaign for 1.14)

You used "nereids" as the name of the friendly water units instead of "merfolk" which is used in mainline. I actually like that better, but im wondering where you got the word? Also, both nagas and nereids do not use terrain very well so they get killed easily. In the Italian transation, Merfolk ar...

Re: Amiga Wesnoth Version 1.8.6 question

That address isn't supposed to be put into the game interface at all. Instead, you're supposed to download the add-ons with your browser (or a download manager, whichever you prefer), unpack them (they're compressed in .tar.bz2 format) and put the unpacked folder into your userdata/data/add-ons dire...

Re: Wesnoth Lua Pack: Development Thread

After a lot of work (40 commits on GitHub!) I can finally announce that I just uploaded version 1.8.0 of the Wesnoth Lua Pack on the 1.14 add-ons server. While there isn't any new WML tag, a lot of work has been done on the two main GUI debug tags. I also converted the documentation from HTML (I jus...

Re: The Sojournings of Grog

Of course, Elyssa is always supposed to appear in the second scenario. If you don't trigger her appearance while playing it, she appears when Grog reaches the signpost (in the victory event). If she didn't appear, then it's a bug that nobody else was able to trigger before. Anyway, my compliments fo...

Re: Lua error on porting existing wml from 1.12 to 1.14.4

You aren't supposed to use commas to separate macro arguments. Use just spaces instead. However, I think that we could make the error message clearer: for example, the file /data/lua/wml/modify_side.lua might be modified by adding a line like local income = tonumber(cfg.income) or helper.wml_error("...
