If WiFi is on the data is sent over that. If not it's sent over the cell network. I'm hopping in & out of apps all day, I don't want to be charged every time I do so. The desktop version of Wesnoth has an option to collect stats, maybe this should too? Probably the most fitting compromise would...

I have found that on an iPod touch 2G, it still crashes in multiplayer mode: in the lobby, or creating a game.

I just tried it out I have an iPod Touch 2G, and skirmish was the only thing that really worked for me. Multiplayer crashes once it connects to the server, and I haven't looked at campaigns too much, but one of them crashed pretty quickly. Defiantly a memory issue. Maybe it works better on a iPod 3G...

I think that Wesnoth for the iPhone would be one of the best games on it, and this looks great so far. Are you going to make this project open source?
