Re: [POLL] What user made campaigns you like most?
I almost never actually bother logging to post anymore, but this seems interesting and some of my favourites aren't getting much love, so:
1.Soldier of Wesnoth
2.Invasion from the unknown and it's sequel After the Storm
3.To Lands Unknown
4. Alariel's Journey: A Faerie Tale
5. Elvish Dynasty RPG

They seem to have accidentally replaced tropical trees with some kind of ugly hippie hedge-bush. Will that be reversible?

Re: Is the Northern Alliance more "modern"?
Well, they can only appear in campaigns that actually take place within their sphere of influence, between the orc tribes and wesnoth proper.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing the northern alliance again, it's interesting, if horribly cliche.

Re: Wesnoth article/review
I think linking to TV tropes when it doesn't even vaguely relate to what you're saying is kind cruel and petty.

For the record it's actually a poor idea to recruit level 2s on Age of Heroes. But hope your opponent does!

Re: Bad Moon Rising part II is making me insane
The scenerio is fine. Block the bridges before the calvary get there and you can easily bottleneck the whole force for basically as long as you like. And get lots of lovely, lovely experience in the process. Just don't overextend and making leveling a healer a priority.

Well, of course it's not high quality. Otherwise it'd stick out.

Re: A New Start
I usually send a few units to draw Darken south and hold off recruiting 'till he and the Paladin start duking it out. Usually he loses horribly but managed to take out about half the undead termination squad with him.

It's that simple.
You realize that didn't actually make sense, right?

Re: Banking=evil?
Replay or it didn't happen... :lol2: When I tried the Khalifate for the first on a 3P Morituri against two computer opponents, I managed to defeat one side almost solely with falcons. But using their large number of moves to claim most of the map's villages helped, I suppose. As for banking: of cou...

Re: Gambits Empire Builder 3.0
Next problem: Hatches (and possibly pick axes) overlays on peasants don't show up. I get the broken image on any peasant that buys axes. Also, the automated peasant limit is a nice touch. For small maps. It does, however, make your 200x200 and my 200x200 custom GEB map basically unplayable. I sugges...

Re: Gambits Empire Builder 3.0
Also downloaded the 1.8 version. In the midst of tweaking it a bit for my own uses, I discovered a few problems it probably got from the port over. 1. Desert elves don't work. Their images don't show up and if you try to recruit one the game crashes. 2. Images for other units at the tavern also don'...

Re: Gambits Empire Builder 3.0
I think I've got it, thanks. I'm tinkering with only making the teleports one way from the starting location, however, to make for more realistic expansion/reinforcements. I'm tinkering. Admittedly I'm mostly butchering what you've already got, but I'm doing basically the same thing anyway. Will you...
