Re: [UMC] RPG-like PvP in Wesnoth.
For some reason, I still think about this idea. Sorry for necroposting, but I think it is better than starting new thread. Ideas are itching in the head. I should write them to get out of head. It is not realistic that I'll made anything. Because making add-on also means endless support. This is tim...

Re: Engine support for real ranged attacks
To simplify things about range and elevation, you can allow shooting only in 6 straight directions: north, north-west, north-west, south, south-east, south-east. It will be much clearer to decide, whether this line contain obstacle or not. It also allows more clear formulas about penalties. Directio...

Why do you need to remove it?
You can ignore its presence.

Re: [DIY] making html5 wesnoth-themed roguelike
Isn`t it already on github? https://github.com/optimouser/wessense I do not use git in my development and will not maintain a github account just for W.Essense. But, yes, optimouser uploaded source code to github - see his earlier posts in this thread. Be warned, though: game code was ugly, and is ...

Basic inventory is actually a set of messages with dynamic [option]'s.

Re: Wesnoth MMO ideas ( part 1 )
I'm currently playing (and studying) another turn-based MMO - http://www.lsonline.ru/en/. It is named MMO because of global chat and global (peaceful) map-lobby. All gameplay takes place in special maps, which can be created in global map. Each combat map contains from 1 to 8 players. 1,2 and 4 is m...

It became smoother and generally better.
But I think you should leave eyes black.
Carpet looks too rigid and unnatural. Think about rounding its corners or something

Re: Feedback on Wesnoth from a year's old user
Where is java used? I have exactly zero programs written in java on my computer. Java programs are typically small tools that require installing and always updating java sdk (written in C or C++). Java is used a lot on Android, but it's not the only language there either. Can you think of any large...

Re: Feedback on Wesnoth from a year's old user
Not sure if I have enough weight to convice you for anything. I'm agree that WML is indeed a huge pain to debug at the moment. I'm also agree that WML is not a reusable skill. I can't advise to study it to my students. But it is wrong time to take any decisions about its design. Revolution is never ...

Re: Python Toolchain - Moving forward.
a Wesnoth IDE for WML developers :D There is one. Though, it is actually a Eclipse plug-in. http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=30880 In fact, why'd you even need to run wmllint manually? We could go ahead and beef up GUI.pyw with inotify or equivalent tools to just run wmllint if yo...

Custom attack outcome calculation
In this theme I want to discuss feature, which will make wesnot more customizable. Feature will affect the way of calculation of default unit attack. Mainline gameplay should not be changed. I'm going to implement this feature by myself, if I will get enough feedback from developers. Thats why I ask...
